Usually cuz the side affects where bad. Question is. For the people on this drug do you have major side affects? I'm thinking of asking my doc to go for another try at it.Soft hugs,Laurie
Guest guest
Fran, You wonder why I believe that some people have serious side affects with the drug. If it works don't fix it. I for one had bad side affects. Also to correct you on your math and dosage. If you take 1200mg 3 times a day you are taking a total of 3600mg a day. I just didn't like the drunkand sailor affect that I got from it. I have to function. That's a key issue for me. And yes I agree that we shouldn't change medication unless supervised by doctor. Guest guest
If I felt dizzy or "high" from the mediations I woulnd't drive. There have been days, especially when my medication is adjusted, that I can't drive until I'm used to it since I usually get dizzy. I don't drive alot, only a day or two for work, and 5 mins to the grocery store. Other than that I don't really go out. If I had a choice I would not drive but I'm alone and have to work, so I have to do it. One thing I always try to do on the highway is to stay far away from everyone just in case. I hate when I'm in a group of cars and I can't break out of it, but usually I can keep my distance. Lori
Guest guest
You know Laurie as read about the drunken sailor feeling you had with Neurotin reminds me that within the first 15 minutes of taking Neurotin she was really scared of the feeling. It was a dramatic and immediate reaction for her. Doctor just did not think it could cause such troubles but sure did. Funny in sick way how people go out to have that drunken sailor feeling, or the " high " from a pain med that we all need and at least for myself and anyone I know, have never ever felt some kind of high. Heck I just want some pain relief so not needing to be in a hospital. Just really odd how people go out and try all sorts of things for whatever feeling they want to try and feel, and we might be struggling to get pain meds some day. Just my tired brain trying to function here..................... s Momma JoAnn Re: nerontin question???
