Connie, I got your email three times, guess your finger slipped, huh?

Anyway, on

your butt, huh? I got it on the front of both ankles. However, at that

time, no one

believed it was here on the west coast, so I had trouble getting dx'd. Of

course, I

already had been dx'd with RA, SLE (suspect), Sjogren's (suspect),

fibromyalgia (not

yet chronic and acute myofibrositis), and non-insulin diabetes, so, they were

sure it

was just another manifestation of the autoimmune disorders. After four years

of

trying to get a dx, they finally tested me for Lyme's. Of course, it had

been two years

since the bites (no ticks left on me) and bullseye rashes before I even tried

to get a

dx, so add four years of wrong dx's to that and I was a chronic case, and

pretty far

gone. Does yours come and go, too? MM

MM,

I was camping -- it was on my butt, ahhh - Giggle. I had a bulleye which I noticed right away, watched it 2 or 3 months. They did the blood test and I got my dx.

The hospital about went into shock when Crystal handed them my list of medications and dx she said. They all people should understand, life 101. I actually went to hospital in OH and they told me I was to sick and refused to treat me. All I had was a cut on my finger which was inflamed.

Gentle healing hugs,

Connie

Re: MM

Connie, How did...or I should say, where did you contract Lyme's? I got it camping onthe California north coast almost twelve years ago. It took six years to diagnose, soit is now chronic, and comes and goes like Lupus does. I think the list of what I DON'Thave is shorter. LOL Love, MM

Hi, gang. Normi (one of our old members

who is taking a break from the group

for a

bit) asked me for some recipes, again, and I had just tried this

new

combination at

our house and she loved it. I thought you all might be interested,

so here

it is:

Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients: 8 oz. large, frozen, cooked, clean

shrimp, tails off

8 oz. frozen broccoli florets

4 oz. prepared pesto sauce

1/2 Cup minced Italian parsley

2 Italian pear tomatoes, chopped

1 T minced garlic

2 T olive oil

4 oz. sharp shredded Italian cheese (Parmesan, Asiago, Romano)

salt and pepper to taste

16 oz. linguini

In large saucepan or saute pan, gently saute garlic in the olive

oil. Add

pesto sauce,

parsley and tomatoes. Turn heat off. In large pot,

bring 6 quarts salted

water to a

rolling boil. Cook linguini 7 minutes, add frozen broccoli

and shrimp to the

pot and

cook until pasta reaches al dente' stage. Remove from heat

and drain. Place

in large

bowl, pour sauce over it, then sprinkle cheese over all and toss

gently.

Serve warm

with salad and bread, if desired. Makes 4 generous servings.

Hope you enjoy this. We loved it, and all those who have tried

it think it's

great.

Love, MM
