Guest guest
Yes, Humalog is one insulin for which you do need a prescription, as far as I know. And I've always pronounced it " HYOOMalog " . (Or " U-malog " take your choice, smile...) The score is one and one. Anyone else care to add their 2 cents worth? sky

Guest guest
But it is confusing, for sure. I think the generic name of regular and NPH is humalin. The stuff you need a prescription for is Humalog. No wonder people get confused. Vicki Re: Re: insulin, testing > > Sky, > > I stand corrected, it IS Humalin. Okay. Got my answer before my question arrived on the list. So Humalog is still what I'm interested in and not humalin. I don't expect the NP to prescribe any sort of insulin. sky
Guest guest
How cool, Stacey, that Walmart makes their own brand of insulin! Wow, I had no idea. Then hopefully, their brand would be cheaper than the 33 bucks a pop for Humalin we now pay...will have to check out WallyWorld's version. Thanks for that information. :>) Bron in Florida Type II
