Hi ,

Yes, I too knew there was a problem with TJ when he was actually just a

baby or toddler. When he was ever repremanded in the least he went into

the discociative state. I wondered what that was and now know.He was

sick a lot with allergies the whole first year. He wouldn't sleep in his

bed and tho clingy- did not like to be close. He always was difficult,

obsessive , and just plain never happy no matter what the situation.

Matter of fact the more you tried to do the worse it got. In

Kindergarten he cut his hair and when I'd go to pick him up he'd still

be sleeping from nap. In 2nd grade his teacher said he was gonna twirl

his hair to the point of pulling it out. In programs or baseball games

he couldn't stand still. You could see his mind contantly wandering.

Later in 4-6th he was always BORED!Adjusting from school to home was a

huge problem. In the 7th gr he began to steal and lie terrible. From

there in 9th escalated till he was involved in drugs and burglery. Not

at all the direction in was teaching him. And all we get is blame as if

it's something we've done. Hmmmmmm!!

Today I took him to get his driver's lic as he turned 16 in the YRTC in

May. He was just the same detached cold attitude and I tried to ask if

he realized how he was being. Silly question when the brains not

engaged. I have a call in to the case workers stand in to see what I do

if I have big trouble and an appt for new meds on Mon. Sometimes I think

he's allergic to ME. They don't retain good lessons and fall back to bad

ones in seconds. On the up note my oldest sons parole officer, whom I'm

sure is an Angel, was in today and listened to me vent. She agrees with

all I say about the ONES who are suppose to be helping us deal with

them. She still couldn't believe the blatent falt out rudness of Mick's

Counselor to say I treat him like a child, and need my kids to be sick.

And the nerve to invite me into counseling.

I just SHAKE MY HEAD!!

Thanks, LouAnn

those words around all 12 year olds are BPD. They have no clue how bad it is. It

started in her very young as early as 5 years old. she made up elabrate lies way

past normal. Never was happy with her life no matter how good or how I changed

it for her (ex. putting her self in a baby buggie with a note " please care for

me! " because they had a dog and a pool). This was at age five she had my

brother write the note for her. He was eight at the time and did not know why

she wanted it. Where can I get Help? The shrinks here don't have a clue!
