Guest guest
Hello, Being new to Diabetes, I'm somewhat baffled (OK - very baffled) over the various numbers. Could someone give me a general, yet desirable, set of stats for fasting, as well as after eating. And for that matter, any other numbers I should know about. I was told to strive for 110 or less for fasting (my numbers run very high in the morning) and under 180 after meals. Though after reading the comments on the list today, the 180 seems very high. Also, what's the consensus about when to test? I have been told two hours after finishing a meal, but then I've also been told, two hours after the first bite. When testing at the lab, I was to come back come back after two hours, which began at the end of eating. Interesting. It seems like there are so very many variances or maybe that's just the way it looks like to a neophyte. Thanks for the help. Cindi
