Guest guest
Today was the visit with Mr Neck Dr. It was interesting. It was all about pain management and until I had seen him, I had not really thought that I lived my life in chronic pain. While talking to him he explained a lot of things such as how nerves become pained and actually regrow and learn to regrow in pain, and stay in pain, therefore you remain in chronic pain, or more precisely acute pain, (which is why so many people are in agony) until the nerves learn NOT to be in pain He is all about relating points of muscles to pain points and then gently, pain freely, stretching them slowly with very specific exercises done slowly to release the tension of the muscles, therefore hopefully letting go the pain. This is DRUG free. Not like a pain clinic. And is PAIN free. The brain needs to learn to be rewired, so to speak. After a while the goal is to reset the nerves so that they remember they don't have to be in pain, and the muscles are not pulling in all the wrong spots causing this pull on the nerves as well. What I remember is that he said you can have chronic pain for years, only treated with drugs etc, and then have some changes within something (I cannot remember the something) and it's like the chronic pain becomes acute, and you can then reprogram the nerves again and this pain can stop. He doesn't guarantee that it will be a miracle cure. He said that a few times. He isn't addressing the palatal myoclonus, but he is addressing issues such as vertigo, trigeminal neuralgia, and the constant pain I have in my head that until I stoped to realise this, I have all the time. I don't have his card here but I know he is something to do with a doctor of muscular skeletal issues. Anyhow, visit one with Mr Neck Dr went ok and basically will hopefully help with some things, to what degree we don’t know yet, but obviously not the main disease. Any help is good help though! Sorry I can't remember more. I see him again in 2 weeks so I might be able to explain it better then. Love Aisha
