Guest guest
Hi, everyone! I hope all are having some nice pain-free moments and getting some enjoyment from life! I just got back from playing some gigs on the road and I saw some turmoil regarding Stacey and her dislike of religious topics being discussed on this board. This is a tough position for me. I am a deeply devout Christian Catholic. I live my life for Christ and try to evangelize my environments as best I can without turning anyone off. I've also developed a very special, intimate and wonderful friendship with Stacey. She's helped me to get outside of myself and my difficulties with this insidious disease and other tough times that I've had. For all of this, I love her very dearly. I'm sorry that this problem has come up among all of the terrific people in this group. RSD is to be sure, a darn stessful disease. We don't sleep much, we're drugged and the quality of our lives is questionable at best. The disease doesn't let up and our moods are affected greatly. We often react to things in ways that we wouldn't if we weren't in constant pain. I personally don't care what people post in this group, whether it's related to RSD, quilting or whatever. This group in my mind is like having a conversation in a crowded room, we can overhear things or tune them out. Stacey may not have been at her absolute best when she posted her message on the digest, we don't know. I only know Stacey a little bit, but I do know that she doesn't need me to come to her defense, but I am loyal to her because of our friendship and the fondness I've come to have for her. As a Christian man, I ask those of you who might have a problem with her to forgive her. She didn't offend me (I'm not easily offended), but if she did, she'd have my forgiveness without question. She does have a right to express her opinion, as we all do. I'm sure she also knew she'd get flamed for her method of expressing her opinion, considering the " private email/public forum " issue of this controversy. I guess I'm just asking folks to try to not be too judgemental toward her. I mean, what the heck? I'm Christian and I just love Stacey to pieces, even if she doesn't agree with me about spiritual matters. If anyone else doesn't like me to mention Jesus Christ or express my spiritual convictions on this board, then moderators, you may feel free to exercise your " right " to censorship and remove me! Peace and Love!!! Cliff
