Kim, I am so glad to know this DR is another dud! I will stay far away. you

said it yourself, how could he possibly be given an autism diagnoses within

20 minutes, based on 2 things, in that case Lindsey is Autistic to, because

she has speech and socials issues.

It sounds like you will have to find a new DR.

Lindsey's neurologist dismissed the apraxia diagnoses at age 2 1/2 because I

told him she could say " hi " her only word and she said it for everything. I

have since had her evaluated by several speech pathologist and she definitely

has apraxia. grrrrrr

Exactly. My son's speech therapist told me yesterday that not only would she

never recommend that doctor she would vehemently discourage anyone from going to

him if she even heard they were considering it!

You know, as I watched my son run to the door this morning, greet his O.T. with

a smile and a, " Hi Mo-shell (), take her by the hand and lead/drag her

into his room to " play Mo-shell " ; telling her to " sit down " at his little table

with him; make excellent eye contact; laugh and smile; talk and play games I

felt my cup fill back up and after yesterday it felt really good and I needed

that.
