Guest guest
-------Original Message------- I hade/have white ones that slip over your hands they have laces but don't need to tie them as there is velcro that you pull over and it hooks. They also have 'metal spoons' in the palm. Take care, Sandi ======================================================== Sandi, I went and bought a wrist brace exactly like what you described at a pharmacy. It wasn't 'made' for me though. Also, when my nephew broke his arm and wrist, the doctor gave him that exact kind of brace after the cast came off, just to keep the wrist stablized an extra 3-6 weeks (he got 2 of them in 2 years since he broke one arm and wrist one year, the other arm and wrist the next year). I actually haven't heard of these kinds of braces being made specifically for someone before though. I always thought that they only came as Small, Medium and Large. I do have a question though.... For having RSD in the wrists, should I use one of these braces for like when I am typing here on the computer or anything? I know that a brace or cast on the RSD limb is supposed to be a big no-no just as much as ice is..... But, I was wondering if it would help any with the pain and all. I also have 2 ganglion cysts..., one on each wrist/hand. They actually are at the bottom outside spots at the bottom of my palms, at the corners... where the wrist/palm of the hands rests on the computer desk while typing. The cysts keep going up and down....they've been draining on their own each time so far so that I haven't had to go and have them drained by a doctor. (thankfully!) Would one of these braces help with getting rid of these cysts? Tonia
