Guest guest
Tami, Last summer I was in your shoes. I had expereinced a chronic yeast infection for a year and a half. I had taken 6 months of Diflucan, used Nystatin, Terazol and Ertaczo anti-fugal creams with no success, as well as 5 months of Boric Acid and vaginal pro-biotics. Nothing helped and I my tissue was burning and inflammed all the time. My MD in Boise helped me find Dr. Metzger in California when my symptoms turned from chronic yeast to include Vulvodynia. Dr. Metzger ran many tests, stool analysis sent to Doctor's DATA, vaginal cultures sent to Great Smokies LAB and blood work, with a complete hormone panel. My yeast was sensitivity tested and she gave me natural supplements to use. Vaginally she told me to use Argentyn 23, it is a form of purified colloidal silver. I was a little hesitant at first until she convinced me it was safe and usually very successful. It was my saving grace. It was like appyling cool water to my tissue. I have since recommended it to other women and they have had similar success. Within a day of using it I experienced less burning and irritation and by the time I was finished my tissue looked and felt sooo much better. I also want to make sure I share that I remained on the low-glycemic diet, with no cheating and continued to take my supplements. Before I saw Dr. Metzger I did begin to see a little relief taking Grapefruit seed extract, rinsing the vaginal tissue with baking soda and water and applying a mixture of 1% hydrocortisone cream and aloe gel. Although my vaginal yeast was not gone at this time, it did seem to help sooth the tissue. Once the infection was gone adn my tissue began to heal I began to use compounded estradiol to further heal and strengthen the tissue. I am 99% better today and have been for 6 months. Below is the website that you can order the Argentyn 23 and the instructions for use that I received from Dr. Metzger. Good Luck and don't hesitate to ask many anymore questions. Sincerely, Margaret Elkins Instructions for use… How to use it... Instruction for using a 2cc syringe for vaginal use 1. Pour a small amount into a dark glass bottle, then pour an equal amount of distilled water into the bottle. Mix by lightly shaking. Shower and air dry vaginal tissue. Lay on back with bottom elevated on pillow. Carefully insert a 2 cc syringe into vagina about a 1/2 inch inside the vaginal canal. (If some runs out don't worry, you can insert a little more) Then push the syringe and insert the mixture. Hold in for 10 minutes, then stand to go to the restroom to let mixture run out. Then spray outside of vulva and vestibule area thoroughly. Get in nice and soaked! Let air dry. Try not adding any Vaseline or A & D at night. Wash the syringe with warm tap water and soap and let dry. Use for 6 mornings and nights in a row. Same mixture for spray bottle 2. Pour a small amount into a dark glass spray bottle, then pour an equal amount of distilled water into the bottle. Mix by slightly shaking. Carry in your purse and spray thoroughly after each use of restroom, Let air dry if possible, then use Vaseline, A & D, or SBR lipocream as barrier and tissue protectant. Use during vaginal treatment and when ever feeling irritated. Store bottle of Argentyn 23 in dark place Refill small glass bottles as needed **if still feeling like yeast in present you can repeat the instruction using full strength, no dilution with distilled water Where to purchase Argentyn 23 http://www.emersonecologics.com/ProductInformation.asp?BrowseBy=ARGE2 Type of bottles I purchase to hold Argentyn and distilled water. As you will see they are very inexpensive. You can usually find them at a health food store or you can order them online. Spray bottle http://www.specialtybottle.com/index.asp? PageAction=VIEWPROD & ProdID=35 Bottle for syringe http://www.specialtybottle.com/index.asp? PageAction=VIEWPROD & ProdID=32 I really found that SBR lipocream help protect and heal my tissue. It has no propylene glycol and it contains lots of water. If you see relief from the Argentyn 23 then I would begin using the SBR Lipocream instead of the A & D and Vaseline. It provides moisture to help heal the tissue. You can buy SBR Lipocream the cheapest at www.dermadoctor.com or www.dermstore.com a little goes a long way. Let me know if you have any trouble finding any of this information I am sending you or if you have any questions. Take care
