Here they pick up for therapy and special services for children after they turn 3 and before they reach school age. From birth to 3 services are handled by Early Intervention. from 3-5 they're handled by the IU, then from 5 on they're handled by the school district. Toni [ ] Re: IEP run around What is an IU?? If so, that is where I live and my sons IEP is about to be scheduled (he turns 3 next month). They misdiagnosed my daughter for 12 years and still are fighting me on issues. I would love to be able to help in any way that I am able to. Have you been to the Schreiber Center in Lancaster for therapy for your son? I would highly recommend that center as they are working very well with my daughter now. My son is turning 3 in november, however I am unable to send him to the Public School System Preschool because they are only 1/2 day sessions and I work full time. It may differ for state to state but in Ohio that is the case.
