Guest guest
Hello All, My son, now 14 who has Dyspraxia had (what slp's called) " Hyper nasality " We were told he may have had a submucus-cleft palate also. We went to a team of specialist who consisted of SLP's, ENT's etc..... he did not have any of the above,(except dyspraxia) However he did have a high palate. He also has asthma and he snored like a warthog. We had some test done to determine of removing his tonsils would help without hindering his speech, which was already impaired do to Dyspraxia. When he was 9 years old, he had just his tonsils removed and the adenoids were left and he hasn't snored since. His speech greatly improved also. I look back at home movies now and wonder how in the world we ever understood him. But, as we all know as moms, at the time we knew exactly what our kids were saying, we just didn't realize how much better they could say their words when an obstacle is removed! It was one of the best decisions we ever made for our son. Just my input, hope someone finds it helpful. Good luck to everyone!! , mom to 3 great kids 15, Micheal 14 Dyspraxia, non progressive muscle weakness, 9 Apraxia
Guest guest
unsubsribe me.thanks. University of Miami CFS Procrit Study The message below contains our updated website information, please send your questions to my email at alexgonzalez@... . Promising New Treatment for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome The Behavioral Medicine Research Center at the University of Miami is conducting a study funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Barry Hurwitz Ph.D. and Dr. Klimas M.D. are the principal investigators of this study. The study is investigating a very promising potential treatment for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). The study is a placebo-controlled clinical trial in which Procrit is prescribed to the participants for 13 weeks. Procrit is a drug that has been used for over a decade to treat anemia which is low red blood cell volume. The drug increases the production of red blood cells, which we have discovered is low in many CFS patients. Because the red blood cell delivers oxygen to the body, it is projected that this treatment may reduce the debilitating fatigue experienced by individuals with CFS. You can visit our web page that describes the study and also has links for downloading our brochure, as well as the electronic forms that we use to determine eligibility. The web site for our department, which is the Behavioral Medicine Department, is www.bmrc.miami.edu <http://www.bmrc.miami.edu>. To go to our web page directly the address is <http://www.bmrc.miami.edu/research/niaid/procrit.asp> Please note that any information you provide us will be kept strictly confidential. The form will allow us to determine if you are eligible to participate in the study. We are looking for CFS patients in the South Florida area, and qualified participants will be compensated for their time, as well as receiving free studies medications, medical examinations, and detailed information about their health. You can help us get the word out by forwarding the email to anyone you think may be interested in this study. We apologize if this email was sent to you incorrectly, our goal was to get the word out to people that have an interest in CFS and may live in or know someone that lives in the South Florida area suffering with CFS. Thank you for your help. For more information please feel free to contact me at alexgonzalez@... <mailto:alexgonzalez@...> A few months ago the TV stations WPLJ Channel 10 and WTVJ Channel 6 in Miami, covered in their Health Section the research that we are doing. Guest guest
HELLLLP!!! I need some advice stat! I finally got a referral to see someone else about my back, & my doc said I could basically have my choice of Cleveland Clinic, 's Hopkins, or Duke University. He says that Cleveland Clinic is the best, but that's because he personally knows the doc he's sending me to. I really didn't want to see a doctor who was particularly fond/biased about my current doc. I want an opinion without prejudice. Does anyone have any experience with either of these hospitals? Do any of them have doctors who know what they are doing with scoliosis & flatback? I really need some advice quickly. Thanks in advance. With Blessings & Love, Carla Kay ~ Ps. 96:1 O come let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Guest guest
if it's the same one i saw a couple years ago, some guy, lotsa pics, holy moly, you gotta be tough to do that one. i think i'd try oleander soup + LDNaltrexone + CS + TCM herbs + essiac tea + some internal Bloodroot/cansema formula first. i'd think all that stuff should dispose of the epstein-barr at the same time. ________________________________ , I read about a cancer of the tongue being cured with the Cansema Salve.
