Hi ,Where do you live? One thing about being in the hospital. I don't eat the food either and the hospital is about an hour away for me. So when I end up there poor Greig has to take care of all the animals which I normally do, and of course he still has to go to work. Having horses means he has to go home and feed the dogs, and horses, and the cats too, he trends to forget the cats need their canned food to, anyway it is a lot for him and he tries to see me at least twice a day.The hospital is pretty good about it. Greig usually comes in around 6 AM with Dunkin Donuts and coffee. He will also go to some place like KFC and get me stuff that I can eat cold or microwaved. Also cookies and crackers. Plus I have found that there are places that deliver to the hospital also. There is no rule that says they can only deliver to the staff and not the patients. My room usually ends up being a high traffic place as the nurses and other realize they can stop in for a quick snack or just to see what is there. Needless to say I can get quicker help that way. I also have Greig bring in cookie trays made up from the grocery to leave at the nurses station when I am going to be in for more than a couple of days, which I usually am. Of course nothing is worse than being in the hospital but at least this helps a little bit.I actually am finding myself sort of wishing I was back in. I hate being on bed rest at home, makes me feel lazy, and is so hard to do with all the animals around. In the hospital I am supposed to lay around and let people wait on me. I guess that sounds so kind of crazy but this stupid foot hurts so much and so does the opposite leg. I want a vacation from this pain! Also, , I don't have blue limbs. My skin does change color on occasion but don't let anyone tell you that you have to look like those pictures to have RSD. That is just plain foolish.I hope you can join us in the chats, I think you will find that it will help pick you up a bit.As for the PJ thing it is 11 AM and I am still in my Flannel nightgown. I had made myself a promise that I would get dressed every day, I felt that makes me more normal than sick. I get dressed now before Greig comes home from work but not by much. I only don't get dressed when I am sick, sick. You know, the flu or something like that.

HI ,

DMSO is good for RSD if you have cold feet and hands. I have warm feet now and I tried the DMSO but it didn't do anything. I do know that my vet has told us to use this on the horses to increase the circulation so it makes sense to use it on us. I know that Rahjid said to put some MSM in with the DMSO also. I think Deb G is doing this. Deb?

What doctor do you go to? When I lived in Naples there was no one to treat me in the are. I had to go to Ft Lauderdale just to be diagnosed.

My pain doc is in Sarasota.

I hope things will get better for you. If you want to talk let me know, you are not that far away.

I've had more than one doctor say I don't have RSD for the reason of my skin not changing colors at the time they look at it. It can change red and blue and is documented in more than one doctor's report. The stupid neurologist at the hospital was one of them. I've been wondering how many people have skin that is discolored constantly or whether it comes and goes. How about it?

Love,
