Guest guest
I first saw " It's a Wonderful Life " in the theater when I was too young to remember the name of the movie and before Late Nite TV started recycling feature-length films (anyone else remember " Donovan's Brain " on Shock Theater?). Heck, it was before anyone in Eastern North Carolina owned a TV--didn't need 'em, no TV broadcast stations. I was entranced. All movies except the Sunday blockbusters were black and white, so that was no drawback. Did I mention that I was entranced? It was the MOST wonderful movie I'd ever seen, better even than " Miracle on 34th Street " with Maureen O'Hara, Wood, and Payne. And Santa Claus, the real one. Okay, he thought he was Kris Kringle, but he was really Santa. Back to " It's a Wonderful Life. " Jimmy made me believe. When I saw the movie again years later on TV, my thought was, " THERE's that movie! I didn't dream it! " I still love it. My 40-year-old son can recite parts of the script verbatim. He owns the black and white video; wouldn't dream of viewing the Colorized version, but you can if you need a color movie. If you do decide to watch, I hope you enjoy it as much as I and all the other fans through the years have enjoyed it. Valeria At 02:34 PM 12/19/2001, you wrote: >Hello rennie@...
