I know you've already been reminded that there can be many reasons

why sometimes you can post with a question/a plea for help/or, like

you say...just to have someone respond to your message. It hurts

when something like this happens to a person. You just feel like

nobody cares...especially when you'vebeen on a digest long enough

to " get to know " the other folks; and feel like they are a friend

that you've just never met in person. I've noticed how you've

reacted today in asking why nobody filled that need to have your

problems recognized and responded to with words of encouragement,

help, caring, sympathizing or just about anything at all to get

that " signal " that you've been heard. As Beth so wisely points out,

there are so many reasons why a person does not get an " immediate

response to their posted message. Like many others I don't like to

give " excuses " , when there is a " reason " for my not responding to

you. I have just checked messages today because I've been in bed for

the past almost 2 whole days brought about by " changing of the

weather pain " here in Hawaii. So, Cassandra, I know your heart is

large enough to " forgive " me because of my not writing to you due to

my own illness. I've also read quite a few other messages tonight

from others that have written to you. Don't give up hope; Others are

here on this digest for the same reason as you. Because everyone of

us DO CARE! I also don't have any answers for you. I wish to God I

did! I do agree with Jo who has given some really good advice about

seeking aid from service agencies, United Way, and your congressman.

(Most congressmen just love to help while raising hell with the

agencies for not doing anything to help a really needy individual

such as YOU. BUT...you have to ask them first, then if you should

happen to get turned down..Congressmen often rush to your aid like a

cavalry charge. I will pray thet you get help as you need dear

heart. Aloha, Ken.
