Guest guest
Yes they did get the sensitivities back on the blood cultures. It was resistent to the clinda that they wer giving her. So they switched her to the vanco. She was suppose to get trough levels done yesterday, but the hem said we could do it Monday instead. We are to go back to clinic on Monday for another blood cututre. Hopefully this one won't grow. And the Vanco has had enough time to work. As Thrs. cultures grew. She will get her dose of vanco after they draw the the blood for levels. I am not sure about this desensitizing thing. I am just taking one thing at a time. HAs anyone heard or have done this?????? _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 helps eliminate e-mail viruses. Guest guest
Hi just had a quick question. My son has been on 1 capsule of ProEfa per day for about 4 months now. No words to describe what an impact that it has made on his speech. He is 3 yrs 4 months and am considering moving him to 2 capsules a day. What I am wondering is should those be given at the same sitting or morning and evening? Just wondering what has seemed to work best for everyone out there! Thanks in advance for any replies! Then I read somewhere that Brewer's yeast does not contribute to yeast overgrowth, and that this was misinformation. Am I wrong? Does anyone know anything about this? Can yeasts contribute to stomach problems? As I posted in a previous message, I have been reading about " the second brain in the gut, " and I find this fascinating, and am wondering if this gut-brain connection could lead to some answers for epilepsy for some of us? Brewer's yeast is extremely high in B vitamins and that's why I gave it to him. Does anyone know of anything else that is as high in the B's? I know it is always best to get your vitaminsfrom foods. Guest guest
Just on the subject of Evening Primrose oil - our nutitionist warned us off it, as that particular fatty acid (DLA?) can lower the seizure threshold. We'd been giving Greogr (6) a fish oil/EPO mix for about a year then, and his seizures have definitely become less frequent since we stopped that. We now give him fish oil 'MorEPA Smartfats' and BioCare's 'LipoCare' which is flaxseed oil with added vegetable DHA.
