Guest guest
Hi Stacey, I don't remember what other meds you're on, but if the sleeping pill the Dr. ordered isn't working for you, there are some other things you can try... I have been moving towards more "organic" treatment, trying to stay off as many meds that I can, and sleep was an issue for me, as well. I went to see my Dr. who thinks that taking both Melatonin and Triptyphan (spelling??) prior to bedtime may help you sleep. The triptyphan is what is in turkey that makes us all sleepy after Thanksgiving dinner. My Dr. gives Melatonin to people who travel, so that they can sleep during "off hours" for them, and it helps with jet lag. I'm sure that any Health food or organic food stores in your neighborhood would have both. I've tried this a couple of times, and I do seem to be able to fall asleep easier. If I am in a lot of pain, I will try an Excedrin PM as well, HOWEVER, I would not do that unless you've spoken with your Dr. and make sure that you could take that with your other meds. Hope this helps, Jo
