Guest guest
As some of you already know, August started off with a " BANG " ! I had just got out of the hospital and I was having problems with my heart again, then Mother got real sick, then more car trouble, next thing we had to call an ambulance to rush Mother to the hospital. (She made it to her 89th birthday August 17, and passed away August 22. I can't seem to adjust to her being gone. She was my next door neighbor for 37 years and I miss her terribly. While Mother was in the hospital my sister-in-law got her test results back and she had to have breast surgery. The lump was NOT malignant but they found cancer in one of the lymph glands. They removed the gland and all of the tissue around it and hoped that was all of it. Not so lucky! She has Lymphoma. (I'm not sure if that's the way you spell it.) She started her Chemo treatments @ 8:30 A.M. Thursday morning and the Chemo was too strong. They had to cut the treament in half and do the other half on Friday. She has a wonderful attitude and told me that she had turned it all over to the Lord. She trusts him to take care of her but if it's her time to go she is ready. At the same time (8:30 A.M. Thursday), my son, , (one of the twins) the one who let you know when I was in the hospital one of the many times, had to have surgery on his right hand. he had been off work for 2 months and they finally found the problem was an anuerism(sp?). If he had bumped it or strained it, it could have busted loose and killed him. He's in an awful lot of pain and the pain medicine makes him so sick that he will no longer take it. I don't know if he will even have a job when he gets through all of this. He's a surveyor. No, that isn't the half of it! Friday night 6 of our young men in this little country town were leaving the high school football game and were walking down the shoulder of the road going to their car when a drunk ran off the road and killed 2 of them. Another one was life-flighted to Houston, one was shoved out of the way and just has minor injuries, and I don't know the extent of the injuries ot the others. One of these boys was a member of our church and was one of the sweetest, kindest, most loving people you would ever have the opportunity to meet. He would take my place on the drums at church when I was sick or not able to be there. My heart is absolutely breaking over all of this. I have never seen this child that I did not hug him and tell him how much I loved him. At least I am grateful for that. He KNEW he was loved! The icing on the cake was when my car broke down---AGAIN---Friday! I was taking to the Pharmacy to pick up his medication and we barely made it to the garage and had to get the mechanic to bring us home. I'm at my wit's end. I've already spent so much money on repairs in the last 6 months. I know, it's 10 years old, but I thought it would last as long as me! That should explain why my BG's are going totally nuts! All of my family and friends and myself desperately need your prayers. Love to all, Tootie
