Guest guest
I think that testing a child (or adult) with apraxia for his/her IQ is very misleading if the person has more than verbal apraxia. Because apraxia is disorder that involves an inability to sequence motor movements on comand, I think all testing is very unreliable. I have seen this over and over again with my child. This leads people to think the IQ is low - when they may be very intelligent. This is evident when you observe them at play, or in a more relaxed, natural setting. I video taped my son prior to evaluations when he was a very young so that I could show how he could function at when he was relaxed.
