Guest guest
I was wondering if any of you have noticed that you are more hungry now than you were before you started breastfeeding. When I was pregnant I had a hard time eating much of anything, and got full very easily but now I seem to have an endless stomach... I can out eat my husband, and I have to stop myself at a certain point even though I know I could eat more before feeling stuffed. I have never been able to eat like this! I have recently gained around 5-10 pounds since I started the pill, but I don't seem to be gaining anymore. But I was eating like this and losing weight before the pill. I try to eat small meals for breakfast and lunch, and I am eating much healthier than I did pre-pregnancy. Lots of veggies and all. But at dinner... man I am an endless pit! I am also drinking a lot of water and it doesn't seem to help take up much room like it used to:) Just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this because I want to be able to explain to Andy that I am not a pig! Jenn:)

Guest guest
Jenn, Your body, while lactating, has a higher metabolism and requires additional calories... more than during pregnancy. I didn't own a scale, unfortunately, when I felt like you do, and I ate enough to add post-pregnancy weight on that I'm fighting to get off now. Check out " Eat Well, Lose Weight While Breastfeeding " by Eileen Behan (I just wrote that down from our LLL Library list last week). It had great recipes, and lots of explanations of why some foods are better than others, and when.

Guest guest
I eat yogurt just about on a daily basis now. Although I can't eat rasin bran.. hehe I lived on it while pregnant and I made myself hate it! LOL I am just trying to do what my body tells me to do... but man sometimes I really eat so much I wonder how I am not gaining like crazy! I do try really hard to stay away from junk food. and that stuff doesn't fill me up very well anyways.. but I have to admit that every night I have a bowl of ice cream. I don't snack at all. I just eat breakfast lunch, dinner and then my night bowl of ice cream:) And lots of water! Jenn >Jen~ > >I am having the same problems!!! Guest guest
Hi Jenn, Its me Sue! They say you should eat your 3 small meals and snack healthy such as fruit crackers, stuff like that then you should gain weight as fast rather you should lose it that is what I am doing and I have only 13 pounds from 50 left to go and Marissa is 5months and 3weeks old! Just my 2 cents It works for me Good Luck Sue:) On Tue, 25 May 1999 13:10:13 -0700 Jenn writes: > > >I eat yogurt just about on a daily basis now. Guest guest
You know what I miss read this before so ignore my previous email! The reason you probably aren't gaining weight like crazy is be cause you might have a high metabolism! and you are lucky if you do. I used to before I had Marissa. I have 15 more pounds to lose and We are trying again this fall to have another baby so they will be at least or around 2 years apart. I just love children and after this next one that will be it. Only because of the cost of raising them. If you have any ideas how to lose weight let me know I cant exercise very much because of a bad back! Even walking too much hurts so we only go 3 times a week if possible and I eat mostly healthy! Sue:) On Tue, 25 May 1999 13:10:13 -0700 Jenn writes: > > >I eat yogurt just about on a daily basis now.
