Guest guest
Hi every body Gat a little worried here yesterday ...lately my husband of 33 yrs.. Luca ...always been so thirsty lately and having cravings for anything sweet... Well before dinner was served last nite l took his bloodsugar... it was 289 ...then 2 hours after dinner... 358 ...So l said as of right now.. no sweets.. he is feeling sleepy lately...at first l thought it was because he has a stressful job that he was just tired... he is an Electronic Engineer for a big Airline...so you know stress goes with that kind of job... This morning his fasting blood sugar is 139 ...l gat on the phone with the doctors office and told them what is going on.. He is going to the doctor at 2.15 this afternoon.. He also gained some weight too ... he is 56 yrs..old.. Luca had a heart attack 1 1/2 yrs ago...not a bad one.. but they had to put a stint in the widowmaker...where the bloodflow goes out from the heart.. He kind of jokingly says l can not even think of poking myself in the tummy the way you do 4 times a day with your Insulin..l think first of all they proberly will put him on oral meds first.. l tell you if it is not one thing it is an other.. l will tell you how it goes later this afternoon when we get home.. Have a good day all Rita
Guest guest
Good luck, Rita. Sounds like he is, I'll bet. Hope he can go on oral meds. Since you know the signs etc you should be a big help to him. Take care. Take it one day at a time. Tam --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
