It's an older book, paperback. I'm sure you can find it used in a book store. Some people do fine with sugar, for others it's a drug. Maybe a MD will do a 6 hours glucose tolerance test on your hubby and son. For me it caused insomnia, then I couldn't get out of bed in the morning. Shaking between meals, dizziness, extreme tiredness. Inability to concentrate or retain information. I missed a ton of high school & actually got an excuse from my doctor. I would suggest 6 small meals/snacks per day...just something to keep the blood sugar levels even. Read the book, or go to the library and find some on Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) Hyperglycemia is high blood sugar....If anyone doesn't believe that low blood sugar causes problems, remember what fluctuations in Diabetic peoples sugar level does to them....in the worst case coma, and death. It's been years since I've studied it so I don't want to give out misinformation.... Love, >> I know Debbie on this list has hypoglocemia and could probably answer some questions too. (hope you don't mind me adding that Debbie but you have mentioned it here before) ALSO, I have never been tested for hypoglocemia myself but have VERY LOW blood sugar where I start shaking and get dizzy. Just yesterday I had to leave work to run up to the convenient store on the corner to buy something to eat because I thought I was going to pass out. I do LOVE chocolate and have at least one miniature candy bar per day or some ice cream. My mom, an LVN, has said that if I would cut back on my sugar I would quit getting these lows. Guest guest
, This is very good advice however I do have a problem. I have food allergies to nuts and certain types of fruits and vegetables. It's weird - it seems it all depends on where it was grown. My throat starts itching real bad and I try to scratch it by rubbing my tongue against the back of my throat and then I make myself sneeze a million times LOL Sometimes I just want to stick my hand down the back of my throat to scratch - it's that bad. Anyway, I can eat apples, peaches, pears, plums and a few others. I'll give this a try and will also try dark chocolate! It doesn't matter what type of chocolate it is as long as it's chocolate although Reeses Peanut Butter Cups are my fav! (Someone else on here said that too!) For me, eating junk on an empty stomach will wipe me out.. It's a cycle, you crave sugar because you have low blood sugar..you eat sugar because you have low blood sugar, LOL. If you just try the peanuts, or fruit between meals you will start feeling better. Also if I eat sugar I will crave some type of protein afterwards.... Good luck....Love, Do you like dark chocolate? Does it have less sugar than milk chocolate? Maybe that would help with your chocolate fix? >>

Here's a small list of things that make my throat itch: cantalope watermelon cauliflower avocados (and I love 'em) papaya honey dew tomatoes (sometimes) there are a lot more but I'm in a hurry :-) and need to get back to work. Guest guest
It was me...I love those PNB cups! I go nuts at Easter, etc. when they make them in the egg shape, hearts for valentines, trees for Xmas and pumpkins for Halloween! I know a lady that used to work at Hershey's!....can you imagine....???? Don't eat the nuts then, LOL! How about a hard boiled egg? For protein? There are some good books on low blood sugar, recipes & eating tips. I loaned mine out...never to be seen again, LOL Love, Re: Sugar > From: LilNukie@... > > , > > This is very good advice however I do have a problem. (I think it's about trying to figure out all the health food info) His books are great! I think he was ahead of the times with his ideas.....the one Every Woman's Book, has everything in it...Try a used book store for it. That's where I found my 2nd and 3rd ones. I paid $7.00 used price, new price was $12.95. It's a big fat paperback book. It has tons of info...really worth trying to find it. I see recipes in here & all types of info....pregnancy, nursing, feeding babies food (recipes) growth and development , vaccines, circumcision, hyperactivity, female problems, sex....it is great! Guest guest
Alli, Zaid drinks all different things. He drinks soy milk, rice milk, cow's milk, goat's milk and mama's milk. He's just a milk kind of boy. I know when we had to give Kaija only goat milk until she was two it got pretty expensive but was worth it for her. Zaid likes variety since he eats and drinks so much so we give him lots of different things.
