Guest guest
I just wanted to update you all on JJ. He will be receiving therapy through the ISD this summer. They feel that he will slide if he doesn't receive it. He will be getting O/T and speech there. I have also been in contact with Easter Seals in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and JJ will be receiving sensory integration therapy there. They feel that he would benefit greatly from it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. He will be going to half-day special ed preschool in the Fall. He will only be 2 1/2, but I feel (and his teachers do too) that he will benefit from the structure. He is a slave to structure. Take him out of his routine and he turns into the little boy that I don't know. We will be seeing a behavioral psychologist next Friday (the 13th, yikes)and he goes back to the neurologist at the end of June. His fourth MRI is scheduled for July 29th, then they will check to see that his spinal fluid flow is still good where they did his surgery in February. Thanks for letting me ramble, Kim - Mom to Carissa, age 9 and NORMAL, and JJ, age 2.5 years, ACM1, autistic spectrum disorder, sensory integration dysfunction, verbal apraxia and the list is growing daily
