Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Well today between (Dr. Pomp's assistant) and myself, we FINALLY got my insurance company all the required documentation--- PHEW! I'm telling ya, it was a frustrating, nerve-wracking task! According to my caseworker, what would have been a simple " yes Bridget you're approved " statement that I could've gotten this afternoon, has now turned into a fiasco. It seems that since I had my thyroid totally removed, the caseworker remanded my file (bless her heart she overnighted it) to a staff physician for formal review. She wants to be sure that my system is stable enough to handle the surgery without having a thyroid. WELL FOR PETE'S SAKE!--I told her my thyroid has been stable for 5 years and all that is required, according to Pomp and my endocrinologist, is to boost my dosage since I'll malabsorb 30% or so of the medication. %$#!@ & & !@#%$@! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...I can't believe I could've gotten an approval this afternoon if not for this!! She said they'll have an answer for me by Wednesday or Thursday(October 25 or 26) next week. This will be the longest 5 days of my life... <sigh> ( Bridget

It really sounds like your doctor's people have a good handle on it. Sorry about the wait. Regina
