Guest guest
TK, Does Andy recommend avoiding fish after amalgam removal? I am wondering if the mercury in some fish could move to the brain if people are eating it at the same time as taking ALA. I have noticed posts (can't remember where) from some people who found that eating fish after amalgam removal gave them significant symptoms and I saw this happening with a friend. Also, I'm thinking that I will try DMSA alone for one cycle or more just to get a feel for what it does to me before trying to add ALA. Even if amalgam removal was more than three months ago wouldn't it be better to use DMSA, or DMPS, alone for some time to be sure the body burden is down? I remember in Andy's book something about adding ALA when the urine excretion gets to a certain point. But I don't have the luxury of using urine tests. During this time oral DMPS > 8 hour or less or oral DMSA 4hr protocol can be used to help remove > the body burden. After this period ALA is the chelator that is going > to remove the Hg from the brain which is where it is screwing > everything up.
