Guest guest
, For my homebirth I paid $1800 for the cost of my prenatal care, the delivery and my postpartum care. I had a pair of midwives who would alternate prenatal visits and did the delivery together. Wendi Re: Homebirths This may seem like an obvious question but why did you have to pay for it ? If you deliver at home, what's to pay for ? The expense of a midwife/doula ? indigomoon wrote: > > > My Homebirth was a lot of money, $3,500, and my insurance would not pay for > it so it was money out of pocket...that was the other reason husband didn't > want to do it (cheapo) LOL! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ You can now easily share photos and documents with your fellow list members http://www.ONElist.com Check out our homepage for details on how to use our new shared files feature! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Breastfeeding is Best!! http://www.mariaann.com/breastfeeding If you like this list also check out http://www.onelist.com/subscribe.cgi/weanedbuddies
Guest guest
, My midwives put in my laundry after the birth. It was so nice to be in my nice clean home after Zaid was born. Everyone at the birth including my midwives cleaned up any and all mess resulting from the birth. They took such good care of me. Guest guest
Midwives don't work for free... Also they did home visits before and after, birth record, blood tests, urine tests. Even did my laundry and washed down the bathroom afterwards. They deserve more than they got, that's why I donated $1000's of dollars worth of books to them for their lending library. They were/are wonderful. Love, > Re: Homebirths > > > > > This may seem like an obvious question but why did you have to > pay for it ? If you deliver > at home, what's to pay for ? Guest guest
Thanks! I wouldn't have/let DH deliver unless he's a midwife ) There is a lot to know. Hemorrhage is sometimes fast and unnoticed... Guest guest
I know! I just feel in love with mine. I miss them so much. They are planning a woman's care clinic in my Husbands chiropractic office. I hope it will happen soon.
