Soy products are quite low on the food chain and are therefore purer than just about anything else you can eat. I can't see how soy milk could do anything but help. But then, I've heard that bananas are bad for rosacea, and I'm eating one right now. They've never bothered me at all, nor has milk or yogurt. I just seem to react to spicy foods, eg., anything with pepper, etc. And alcohol. There goes my partying lifestyle. Guest guest
<<<<My main concern is the ovulating thing as something is clearly wrong inside>>>> Hi Suzanne, I'm glad you're doing at least a little bit better. Regarding your irregular periods, have you tried evening primrose oil or borage oil? It is supposed to regulate your female cycle, ease PMS, help your heart, circulation, and skin, and it supposedly has anti-inflammatory properties. I've been on the borage oil for about three months now, and it's the first thing that has actually helped me with my painful periods (and I've tried a lot of diferent things for that over the years). Since it is supposed to regulate your cycle, perhaps it could be benificial to you. The first thing I noticed after taking it only a couple of weeks was that the skin on my legs is no longer dry. Other people have said the same thing. I was overwhelmed by the reponse following my particularly bad day recently. All of you were incredibly kind, supportive, understanding and if I could count the amount of hugs sent to me it would be huge! Glad you are feeling better!!! Hugs are good! >I was even going to go so far as to purchase buckwheat pillows although I cannot find them in England. Now don't laugh, but QVC home shopping (on cable and satellite) sells them. They are sold with a small pillow to put over your eyes. They are called Sobakawa Buckwheat Pillow & Eye Mask. If you do a search for " pillow " at the following URL, it will take you to a list...they are on that list. http://www.qvcuk.com/ > I did have an aromatherapy massage last week and she said that my circulation was very bad. > My main concern is the ovulating thing as something is clearly wrong inside. And the circulation - I get real shooting pains in my calf muscles and purple/red feet. I am wondering if Asprin might help the circulation. I also wander whether chinese massage/accupuncture/accupressure might release some blocked meridien or something! I am still going to accupuncture for a bunch of different things. We alternate what we are working on because there are so many things. Dry brushing your skin with a big natural bristle brush BEFORE a bath or shower is excellent for circulation. Do your whole body, except the face and start at the ends of hands and feet and work toward the heart. Don't be afraid to put some pressure on there. Your skin will feel warm as the circulation gets going. Make sure the brush and your skin are both dry. Your skin will look and feel great afterward. You can get the brushes at The Body Shop or Boots. Good luck! Guest guest
<<and purple/red feet>> This sounds like it might be Reynaud's. Do your hands or feet ever get waxy/yellow looking and then get red or blue? Do your arms and legs get blotchy red when you are cold? I have Reynaud's, and I think it is tied to cea. Anyone else have those symptoms? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eGroups.com home: /group/rosacea-support - Simplifying group communications
Guest guest
<<Soy milk?>> I like the rice milk better. Can you get that? The vanilla flavored kind is good over cereal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eGroups.com home: /group/rosacea-support - Simplifying group communications
Guest guest
Hi, I have Raynaud's and have had for 43 years. It is nasty. Now I live in NC so don't have to worry about losing my feet and hands anymore like in MN. Now I have to fight the warm weather due to the rosacea! Can't win. I have also developed many symptoms of fibromyalgia.
