Patti: almost all those " diabetic " related problems including those

with your eyes can be handled by GETTING YOUR BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS UNDER

CONTROL. It needs to be done immediately if not sooner. You need to

see a competent endocrynologist who handles diabetics as soon as

possible & either be put on insulin temporarily or a high dose level of

oral meds. DO IT NOW!

Candida is an infection extremely common in women with high bg's--it is

one of the warning signs in fact along with increased thirst, urination,

failing/blurring eyesight & hunger (your body is not getting the benefit

of the food you are eating as the fuel ie glucose is being excreted in

your urine instead of feeding your cells). ALL of these are directly

the result of high bg's & will usually go away with lowered bg's.

I would emphasize what you've been told here. Increased

urination, thirst, etc. are classic diabetic symptoms, as

are yeast infections. In fact, sugar in the urine is

usually a sign that blood sugars are well over 200 much of

the time. I would be leery of any doctor who says you are

not diabetic. getting your blood sugars in control could

save you a lot of problems.

High bgs will contribute to high liver enzymes. I went through this

about a year ago following a period of being significantly out of

control. My enzymes were in the 700+ arena; after some months of

being in control, they had returned to normal. I was forunate.

These are not simply elevated, they are in the diabetic range. Mine

were considerably lower than this when I was dx'd. They were right

at 126, iirc.

Can go with high bgs.

The previous list can also be exacerbated if not caused by high bgs.

Have all of the following during periods of being significantly out

of control. These will improve over time as your control gets

better. It's not hopeless, although I know how it can seem so.

The key to improving much of your health and symptoms is getting

your bgs under control.
