Hi Vicki,

Thanks for posting this. I am glad to hear that she didn't suffer at the very

end. She was a special person and will be greatly missed.

She has been heavy on my heart for weeks now.....I was going to ask if anyone

knew how she was doing...

I hope they serve ice cream in Heaven......and I hope she gets double

servings.

God, that is sad. It wasn't diabetes that got her, but cancer.

Thanks for sharing, and letting us know.

This is such heartbreaking news. I have been afraid to ask about Susie

because I was afraid she might have passed on during the time that I had no

computer. I have done nothing but cry since I read this. I will never

forget Susie and her 800 lb. gorilla. She was ALWAYS there for me when I

needed help.and that was a lot. I already miss her so very much.

Hi, Group...just got this post from Rob, Susie's husband.

Susie was a longtime member of this group and my own first personal

diabetic mentor. She saved more than one diabetic from the ravages of

this disease. After gaining good control of her own diabetes, bone

cancer finally brought her down.

I'll miss her greatly.

Hi All,

Susie passed away a little after 7pm last night. I was here and it was a

very easy and not painful experience for her. She suffered what the

hospice and doctor think was probably a cerebral event and she was gone

in about 15 minutes. I was home from my office for about an hour before

it happened and she was never conscious at the end. We had a great talk

this week and we knew that it wasn't going to be long and I'm glad that

something sudden took her rather than something longer and painful. My

email address is robtmuir@.... I'm going to shutdown this

frontiernet ISP and Susie's email address this week so if you care to

respond please use the direcway address. Thanks to all of you for all

the support and love you gave her these past months and years.

Take Care,

Rob Muir

Hi Rob,

We never met or wrote, but I wanted to let you know how much Susie meant to

me. I'm a member of the Diabetes_int group that Susie was a part of. I've

" known " her since I was diagnosed with T2 Diabetes in Jan '99. She was an

incredible source of information and encouragement. I've really missed her

these last months since she was able to write the group.

Please know that you'll be in a lot of prayers. I don't know yet what it's

like to lose your closest loved one, but I'm sure you'll have a ton of

different emotions.

Thanks for sharing Susie with us!
