Guest guest
You could try ALA again. I started with 12.5 mg at least every 3 hours (during days and during nights) for at least 3 days. Then take at least the same number of days of ALA, but continue to take other supplements like vitamin C. Dagmar. New member of group - Andy I wrote you an e-mail and posting it here Hi everyone, I'm a new member of the group. I sent the following e-mail to Andy and posting it here. I feel I need some advice badly! Some background first..... I'm a (UK based) 39 yr old woman suffering from chronic fatigue, M.C.S. for 12 years. It started after a series of Hepatitis B vaccinations). I developed various odd symptoms esp fatigue, brain fog, fleeting numb sensations, twitching muscles, digestive problems, etc. I've known for a long time that mercury is almost certainly behind my problems..... * My illness began around the time I was having a series of Hepatitis B vaccinations. These vaccines contain theromersal (sp?) which is a mercury derivative * I did a DMSA test about 7/8 yrs ago with an 'environmental' practitioner (Dr Kingsley, Leicestershire, UK) which was positive for mercury but I couldn't afford the expensive treatment so didn't follow up. *kinesiology tests and vega tests always came up positive for mercury *hair analysis done 4 years ago showed mercury at OK levels but likely to go into the danger zone if my iron and zinc and selenium levels decreased (these were OK at the time). However my potassium and sodium were at very low levels or no (potass) level! I actually had my 4 fillings removed 6 years ago BEFORE the hair analysis. The dentist followed the right protocol with oxygen mask etc. The removal (done over a period of a few months) actually made no noticeable difference to health problems, though the difference may have been subtle. I've never done a proper chelation. Health problems have varied over the years, depending on my diet which can be very good but also been bad at times mainly due to unbearable food cravings (due to deficiencies) for chocolate and other junk foods. I still have digestive problems, possibly a gluten intolerance, and poor gut dysbiosis which I'm trying to deal with. I've eaten a lot of fish over the past few years (usually tinned salmon). I also went through a period of eating virtually no protein and food generally due to intolerances, leading to severe loss of weight for a few years (probably weakening my liver and it's detoxification cabailities). Following the period of low weight, my health has never been quite the same as I developed multiple chemical sensitivity though currently my energy levels are pretty good. However my cognitive abilities have declined esp memory, learning, anger outbursts and extreme irritability. This is partley due to an inconsistent diet. However, this is also due to something I tried a few months back.... I started taking a supplement (UK company...Biocare's " Lipoguard " )to help with brain function containing amongst other things Vit E, rosemary oil, limonene, phosphatydlserine, CoQ10 lycopene, lutein and EPA and DHA. It also contained 100mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid. I took mostly one sometimes two capsules every day or every other day, though only for about 10 days. I was also taking a liver herbal support supplement containing bupleurum, dandelion, milk thistle and some others. I started to experience mental confusion and extreme anger, fairly persistent metal taste in mouth (despite no fillings!!) after a few days but I persisted in taking it a bit longer. I then developed a cold and found my cognitive abilities had improved a lot and my energy was excellent. To be honest I didn't know what was going on as I didn't know ALA chelated mercury! I stopped taking the supplement as thought it best to give it a rest. As I had developed the cold (a sign of immune improvement), I thought I would start taking the supplement again over Christmas and got the mental confusion again but didn't improve cognitively so I stopped taking it. Since then I keep getting the metal taste in my mouth with a lot of saliva and my cognitive abilities are pretty bad, worse than they have ever been. I forget names, forget what day it is, can't learn anything, remember things wrongly, make cognitive mistakes and generally my usually quick thinking brain is probably only functioning at 1/2 capacity. I'm also getting fairly frequent headaches, above my forehead (I hardly ever get headaches usually). I'm also much more sensitive to my computer and other things eg fluorescent lighting. I'm wondering what my options are. I'm lacking funds but things I do have are Bodypure footpads. I've taken them twice 2 days apart up to now. Do you think they work? Also pascalite clay which is supposed to help get rid of the metals. What is your opinion on this? Would homeopathy help desensitive me to mercury? I'm assuming I must be more sensitive than other people to its effects. I can buy NDF though it is very expensive. Do you have any experience of this? I assume as I took the ALA supplement with spaces of 1 or 2 days inbetween this has led to these problems. I read you recommend taking it every 3 hours. I'm scared I have moved mercury that was perhaps not in my brain before, into it now. Would liver flushing help? I have just started this, which increased my energy alot but only helped my brain a little. I also take ionic minerals and toxin-free fish oils, 500mg Vit C and just started on noni juice (seems to be helping but also feeling tired, irritable, metal taste again etc.) I'm due to starting Aloe Vera tomorrow. Also take magnesium and zinc though may not be absorbing them! I can't tolerate chlorella or cilantro...make me feel quite wired and anxious. Can't tolerate niacin (vit B3) due to overdosing on it a couple of years ago. Makes me feel nauseous and very toxic. I drink filtered water but bathe in unfiltered. Is this inadvisable? Would you suggest totally avoiding all fish? Finally do you happen to know of any good 'chelation' experts in the UK? Thanks so much for reading if you manage to get this far!! If you have the time to reply I would greatly appreciate any comments or advice. AN UPDATE.... I've been doing a lot of detoxing the past week...drinking noni juice, potassium broth, juicing veggies, a bit of barley grass and spirulina. Also a coffee enema and water enema. The occasional footpad. Yesterday developed a strong headache which is still with me now almost 24 hours later. It's in my forehead and just above. I did a pascalite bath last night which made no difference. I hadn't read your mail until this morning (about these clays not working). My memory is a bit faulty, though I feel my body is trying to have a cold again which I suppose is a good thing. I will finish it there. Sorry this is such a long message!!! Thanks to anyone if they've managed to read it all!! Regards Anne
Guest guest
Thanks so much for your reply , I really appreciate it! Yes I know my adrenals have been stressed for many years....it's a common symptom with C.F.S. I take Ashwagandha or gota kola periodically which help. I find a lot of protein doesn't agree with me so I find that kind of diet hard to stick to. Plus it's hard on the kidneys. Some people claim that footpads have really helped them so I'm kind of open-minded but I have to say I've not noticed any real benefit when I've used them myself. Likewise re the clay baths though s Moritz claims you need 1 or 2 baths to get rid of mercury!! Thanks so much for warning me about NDF...that's very worrying!! I really hope your friend gets her health back Liver flushing again...lots of conflicting advice. I did one about 3 weeks ago and it DID boost my energy a lot, and my memory did improve though I had a lot of cravings afterwards so perhaps it drew on my reserves too much. I ended up eating too much gluten disrupting my digestion which has sent me into a relapse. Thanks too for letting me know that spirulina can be contaminated with mercury! I've had that on and off for years and must admit it does clear my head and give me a physical boost, so confused I'm now! Do you know anything about Seagreens (Arctic Sea Rack)? www.seagreens.com. I got some today and it has been endorsed by the British Society for Mercury-Free Dentistry so presumably it's not contaminated with mercury?!! Do you think fish should be avoided? Yes I ordered Andy's book this morning and will definitely have to read it several times as my comprehension is not so great! Thanks again...sorry for another long post! Guest guest
Thanks Dagmar, Yes I might consider getting some ALA at a much smaller dose. How do you wake up every 3 hours and take ALA..set the alarm? What a hero!! I'm sorry I don't understand what you mean when you said 'then take at least the same number of days of ALA'?? You mean take for at least another 3 days, after the 3 day 3 hourly regimen? Apologies if I seem a bit thick!! I've ordered Andy's book anyway Thanks for your support Anne > You could try ALA again. Guest guest
Hi Anne - I'm not Dagmar, but yes, an alarm clock can do wonders to help you remember the ALA every 3 hours. I was going to upload a little chart that I use to mark off each 3 hour dose, then realized that I don't see a Files section in this group. Anyway, it helps me to make sure I take the dose, as sometimes I have woken up in the morning and wondered " did I take that 3:00 am dose? " . Anyway, alarm clocks and a checklist will help you keep it straight. The days off mean to say pick 3 days a week (like Friday, Saturday, Sunday) to chelate, then take the other 4 days off. This would be 1 round each week. M > > You could try ALA again. I started with 12.5 mg at least every 3 > hours (during days and during nights) for at least 3 days. I have read posts from some mercury toxic people who said that they could not tolerate fish after amalgam removal. I think it depends on the type of fish and on the person. I completely avoid big fish like tuna. Larger fish eat lots of smaller fish and the mercury is concentrated. Small fish might be ok. I do think it's important to get lots of omega 3 oils from good quality ( tested to be free from mercury) fish oils. I think the deep sea Norwegian ones might be ok. > > Yes I ordered Andy's book this morning and will definitely have to > read it several times as my comprehension is not so great! > > Thanks again...sorry for another long post! > Anne Your welcome, and welcome to the group! Anne, I'd be interested to hear what Dr. Kingsley does for mercury detox treatment and why it is so expensive, if you have time to tell me sometime. Thanks
Guest guest
Hi , Thanks again for your post! Yes I do eat most of the things you mention. I've been on a sugar and wheat-free diet for 10 years though I must say I do relapse a few times a year, esp at Xmas time!! I'm determined to stay off sugar for good now though! I'm also off gluten now and I know that will help as I've tried it before. Yes I take fish oils that have been tested and usually avoid tuna but I'm concerned about the salmon I eat, so may cut back on that for a bit. Thanks for welcoming me to the group Anne > > Anne, > > > Thanks so much for your reply , I really appreciate it! > > > > Yes I know my adrenals have been stressed for many years....it's a > > common symptom with C.F.S. Guest guest
> Some background first..... > > I'm a (UK based) 39 yr old woman suffering from chronic fatigue, > M.C.S. for 12 years. It started after a series of Hepatitis B > vaccinations). This is surprisingly common. The Mainstream medical religion of course won't admit this any more than any mass murderer admits to things before faced with the death penalty. I hear this story all the time. The hep B vax seems to be particularly bad. I suspect it causes some kind of not yet characterized autoimmune response to your own liver. > I developed various odd symptoms esp fatigue, brain > fog, fleeting numb sensations, twitching muscles, digestive problems, > etc. characteristic of liver damage. > I've known for a long time that mercury is almost certainly behind my > problems..... excreted mostly by the normal healthy liver. Proper treatments are inexpensive. As in chelate your brains out with ALA for years on end, less than $100 for the ALA. > *kinesiology tests and vega tests always came up positive for mercury I have often found these reliable, the problem is it is practitioner dependent and it is impossible to know if a given practitioner is " calibrated " or nuts unless you see a lot of results from that particular person. > *hair analysis done 4 years ago showed mercury at OK levels Typical in toxic people. > but > likely to go into the danger zone if my iron and zinc and selenium > levels decreased (these were OK at the time). You really would do well to get a copy of my book Hair Test Interpretation: Finding Hidden Toxicitiies www.noamalgam.com/hairtestbook.html to learn about the derangement of mineral transport characteristic of mercury problems, adrenal signs such as you describe above, and other useful information that can be extracted from the hair test. It also covers the very most basic aspects of detox and chelation. > I actually had my 4 fillings removed 6 years ago BEFORE the hair > analysis.
