Guest guest
Of course Sulablue--nothing is true for everyone but I don't think what you are calling a " spike " is really one. Sounds more like the Dawn Effect & you have managed thru trial & effort to learn how to handle it properly for YOU. You are not taking a rise & triggering a rollercoaster but are managing to mitigate that small rise down to a steady lower level which is what prevents damage to our body. Your way is a good way (small amounts of food almost constantly) & probably works for many but as you say not for everyone. We all need to do the trials & testing & find what works to keep a steady lower level for ourself. & yes I am VERY concerned about surging spikes because of the terrible damage which is being wrought & which few doctors explain to us or even understand themselves. My idea of good control is DO whatever works to keep a steady low non-diabetic level for YOU. WHATEVER it takes, no matter WHAT it takes. Yes we are all human & fail at times (sometimes many times) to achieve what we aim for but the aiming is the important part & to aim correctly one must have information to put one on the right path to more non-diabtic bg levels.. Without that one may think one is doing ok but may not be at all. cappie Greater Boston Area T-2 10/02 6/04 A1c: 4.3 Mod 100 carb diet, walking, Metformin.
