Guest guest Posted January 3, 2001 Report Share Posted January 3, 2001 Hi all, Had a good laugh last night when trying to understand some CMT- related medical charges on a statement I received in the mail. The Duke clinic system has recently switched their billing statement format so I was looking at their new statement and, as usual, confused about what some items meant. Couldn't tell for sure if I had a balance to worry about or not. I called the help line number listed on the statement and of course, it was after hours so could only access their " new automated " system to inquire about balances. I thought, why not try this new automated system and see what it said my baslance was???? I made another phone call, followed the instructions, typed in my daughters social security number and pin number on the most recent statement and waited for the automated system to give me our balance. LOLOLOL! The balance due I was given via the automated phone system was over $12 MILLION dollars!!!!!!! I don't think they have all the kinks worked out of the system yet!
