Lin,

Welcome back, it is so good to see you posting again. Just take it easy and don't do too much at once. That is terrible that you had such a flare up, I feel so bad and wish there was some way I could have helped, but please know you were and always are in my thoughts and prayers. Also thank Dwight for me that he let us know, otherwise I would have been really worried as you usually post every day. I haven't been feeling great either but nowhere near close to going to the hospital. I'm very happy that the pain is now somewhat under control, you must be so relieved. Happy Mothers Day to you and please take it easy until all of your strength comes back, I don't want you to suffer a relapse. To everyone, I've had enough typing tonight so I am going to lay in bed and watch tv. I hope everyone has a good night and that all mothers had a wonderful day.

<hugs> Lori

Lin,

Glad you are starting to feel better.

Rest, take care of yourself.

I, too, hope all of the mothers, grandmothers, honorary Mothers, honorary

Grandmother, Aunts, honorary Aunts (am I forgetting anyone here?? - I'll honor

the men on Dad's day)

have had a wonderful day.

I am really suffering from allergies. I did, however, enjoy the visit with my

children and grandson.

Hugs,

Jo

Lin,

Good luck with the new pain doctor! I really hope it works out for you and maybe you can get some answers. I'm getting a little frustrated myself just still sitting around waiting and getting worse. Let us know how the appointment goes, will pray that it works out for you.

<hugs> Lori

A person with an autoimmune disease has a 25% chance of getting another

one...and there are some that do love to travel together...like the gal you know

with hashimoto's and polycystic ovaries...they often go together.

Hi all, don't know if I have talked about this, but in January a resident (I

work part time as a LPN/Charge Nurse at a nursing home) deliberately dropped

down while I was helping her, she did this twice. I did not let her land on the

floor, I managed to lower her to a sitting position. Unfortunately each time

her full weight went on my left arm especially elbow and shoulder. It has been

very hard to heal and I finally (it took a couple months) convinced y employer

that I did need to a see a specialist. The company doc had been recommending

this for some time. After xrays (none were taken initially) and MRI's the doc

decided that I have tendinitis in both areas and I will have physical therapy

and more anti-inflammatories. The strange things are: I have an area that have

developed an indention and a dime-sized area that is much whiter than the rest

of my skin--the company doc had no idea what caused it---surprise to her! it

was caused by the cortisone injection she put there,

cortisone bleached the skin and shriveled the sub dermal fat cells so I now

have a permanent white and dented area :( the other BIG surprise showed up on

the MRI. I had always wondered why the worse pain for the elbow was no-where

near the joint and now I know---that is where my poor arm was fractured! Yep

broke. So an initial xray might have shown that or might not have, but now I

know one reason why it hurts so bad still and why it has taken so long for the

injuries to heal. The super good news is----NO surgery whew!! Now if I can just

get my finances and depression under some kind of control and

progress............Hugs, Deanna
