Guest guest
Hey , I've been there. Meagan and I sat down and cried together during an especially bad moment last week. Sometimes you've just got to let it go for a minute or two. The wine and movie sound great-- wish we all lived in the same town! Guest guest
Ohhhhh, make that CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES-- yum! And any movie would do, long as it takes our minds off our kids for a while :-) At 04:17 AM 10/23/99 -0500, you wrote: >, > I'd love to join you. What's the movie? Guest guest
Mandy, I don't care what the movie is. Although I am a sucker for a good scarey movie and I have been wanting to see The Blair Witch Project. I don't have any strawberries. Never thought of that. My best bottle of wine is usually a bottle of Arbor Mist. Cheep but good. Take care, Re: more on the kirk clan Dear , Just read your message about having to hold down Kodey for the IV blood draw that wasn't to be. Doesn't this stuff just stink!!! The kids are too small to truly understand what is going on and why. It wears the Moms out. Hang in there. (Mother to and , who are upstairs fighting over going to bed) more on the kirk clan Hello all, Well what a poopy day we have had. Kodey went back to school today and when I picked him up he was pretty upset b/c he can't participate in gym class so they have him sit on a chair in the gym and watch all the other kids get to do their thing. I'm not really impressed with that approach but oh well. And of course he can't go out for recess so he's not happy about that. So, there was a lot of whinning and crying about all that when we got home. The home nurse came this afternoon to do the blood draws for the P & T's. We got the trough wonderfully and then ran the med and then went to do the peak and b/c he was fighting so hard and so upset the other foot collapsed, then the first one we used clotted up. They can't use the hand the PICC is in and couldn't use the other hand b/c of how badly it's bruised b/c of the IV he had for the surgery and she wouldn't even touch the veins in his arms b/c they are too tiny she said. Our clinic refuses to do the draws off the PICC which I can kind of understand b/c they say the levels aren't accurate. I want them to be accurate. So, they have to come back saturday afternoon and try for the peak. What a mess. I think I have some bruising from Kodey. I couldn't get anyone to come and help me hold him down so I had to literally sit on him and wrap the leg under mine and get into some dandy positions to do the darn thing!!!! What a day. I hate cf sooooo bad!!! I know Kod does too. He was quite mad at me for sometime this afternoon. What am I gonna' do though? Hopefully the levels are okay and we'll just have to do them once a week after this weekend. I hope everyone else is doing good and having a good week. Thank God tomorrow is friday. This schedule is kicking my butt. Sometime I think it would be easier to just keep him home from school during this situation but that is the whole point of doing home IV's so you can still live your life. Well I guess I better go and get meds ready and take my FA to bed. ) By the way..... I love all the talk of the FA club going on on cfparents I just haven't had the chance to say so. I think it's hilarious!!! Love to all and God bless, mom of 2 boys Kodey 5yowcf, r 2yowocf
Guest guest
Okay, Tomorrow night hubby and I are getting pizza and a movie and putting it in after meds and kids are sleeping. So, if you guys think of me about 9:30 tomorrow night I'll be watching the flick, eating pizza and maybe drinking some good old piss water (beer) ) I guess in my old age, even that sounds like an okay night. Love to you all, Re: more on the kirk clan > > >Ohhhhh, make that CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES-- yum! Guest guest
Hi , Well you've come to the right person for some wine! My hubby and I collect the stuff and have everything from champagne, port and sherry to big reds and light summery whites. Just let me know what your fancy is and I will try to make it happen. Personally, when in the dumps I think a nice bubbly champagne is the way to go. As far as movies, I guess we could go with a tearjerker, just in case you wanted a good excuse to cry some more (Have you ever seen the really oldie, " Madame X? " It's a 10-hankie special!). Or perhaps some good escapist sci-fi flick, like one of the Star Wars saga? But, personally I think maybe a good comedy is in order here. After all they say, " laughter is the best medicine. " So I suggest something totally preposterous like a Mel " Blazing Saddles, " or one of my favorites, " A Fish Called Wanda. " I agree with whoever it was that said we all need to live in the same town so we can have this event! But enough, I do hope you get some wine and a movie. Sounds like you could really use it. Keep us posted as to how you're doing; we're thinking of you. (Mother of , 10 wcf, and , 2 nocf, and waiting for hubby to return from Hawaii " business trip " very late tonight.)
