I became a mother at 14 back in 1985. I know that's not good but I thought I knew everything at that age you know. The day my daughter was born my mother fell down in the hosp., after my delivery and broke her hip. They took her to emergency surgery and then they found cancer, see she had had a lump in her breast for 13 years and her Dr. told her not to worry unless it grew. They gave her 6 months to live it was horrible here I was with this baby girl still a baby girl myself and my mother wouldn't be around to see her grow. Needless to say we were all shocked. My father just walked around in a daze, he was also sick he had sugar real bad and a stroke and heart problems. We were all just waiting as she went through the kemo and went into remission afew months later. We were so excited, and then the unthinkable my father had a serious heart attack and died I wasn't there when it happen but had just got of the phone with him. I was only 15 and I have a brother who is a year younger than me. My mother's cancer came back almost immediately and she suffered another year or so and then she died just after I turned 16. They left us a lot of money and a house but, My mother made the will after my father died and her sisters husband made himself executer of the will.. When she died he would not let me live in the house and I knew he was stealing money from us but I could not do anything about it I was just a kid and no one would listen to me. Then My daughter's father took her from me and I was homeless all within a month. I stayed with friends and where ever I could and then I met Charlie who is my gift from my mom, dad and God. I lived in his car while he still live with his mother for a few months. It was hard I couldn't get a job because I had no address or phone to put on the applications. When Charlie's mom found out I had no where to live she let me move in with her. until then I could only visit my daughter Crystal who had now been abandoned by her father who moved in with his new girlfriend and left her with his mother. Thank God for that to because I knew she was OK, and she would let me see or talk to her whenever I could. Once I got an address I got a job I would work my but off to get a home and my baby back, and Charlie promised to help. It took a few months but we save some money and talked the money stealing jerk to let us move back into my home where I had lived all my life. Then slowly We got Crystal back and have been a family together ever since. We continued to work our butts off Charlie got a job making good money and then I got this part time job at Christmas for some extra dough at a small Credit Card Co... I started opening mail. I worked soo hard that I was promoted every 6 months within 2 years Charlie and Crystal and I bought our first dream home. Within 5 years I was a supervisor running my own dept. Mailroom-Data entry. I was the acting Manager. Charlie and I played softball for the company team for the whole 5 years we loved it from march to November. Crystal was in a new high school now I didn't fit the PTA part but I was at the school almost everyday. She was a cheerleader, played volleyball, in the marching band (played flute), and ran track so I was very active with her. I had Corporal tunnel release surgery and I was supposed to be promoted again when I returned to work, however that was not what someone had planned for me. As you can see I have had to fight all my life and never give up but now I find it very hard. I have had RSD for 3 years. Most days I don't get out of my PJS, I had treatments every 3 months that I have to be hospitalized for and in the ICU, because it can stop your heart. I had never been sick before I am scared as most people of hospitals. I have been fighting the WC because my disability insurance said it was a work injury and they had to cover it. I have been accused of faking because I don't have the big blue limbs as text book RSD you know. I have been followed and video taped going to a restaurant. While I am in the hosp. I don't eat that whole 7 days because the food is so nasty Charlie has to work and I am an hour an a half from home so he can't bring me food everynight, so when I leave the hosp. usually the next day he takes me to my favorite restaurant. The WC knows I get sometimes up to 40% relief from the treatment for a few weeks so this is when they follow me. They sat next to me in the restaurant the day after I was released from the hosp. and said see she can pick up a fork and eat.... I have RSD in my whole body now it even in my mouth and face. We went to court and I won but now they are appealing the case. They had me under surveillance for like 20 days over one years time and I only came out of the house 4 times and once was to their DR's appointment they were there waiting for me and followed me from there and I can't even drive. I am so sick of it I am sorry to go off I didn't mean to write a book this is to worn the rest of you don't ask if you really don't want a 50 page email.. LOL Anyway I am so depressed thanks for listening who needs a phyc. when I have got you guys right, I know some of you are thinking I do and your right but. I can't even do that, I can't make appointments because the RSD controls me. My life feels like its out of control, I spend my days on the couch with my beautiful little golden retriever, anyone who needs a friend who understands please get yourself a golden, my baby's name is Molly and she understands me perfectly she loves me unconditionally and don't care if I am miserable. Crystal is 19 and in college she attends a local community college and pays for it herself since I can't send her to Harvard. Charlie spends everyday working to try to hold on to our home.
