Guest guest
Welcome to you too Judi. I have been diagnosed with CMT 3 times in my life, plus about 10 other assorted diseases! (none of which I had!) So, don't worry, you are welcome here! The best book I can recommend right now is " Numb Toes, Aching Soles " by Senneff. It is all about types of peripheral neuropathy, of which CMT is one. It is good for learning about neurological vocabulary, different tests, medications, alternative care, etc. I think book wise it is the best one available for the money even though it doesn't deal DIRECTLY with CMT ONLY. I have only recently read the British Book, which was OK, but I think this other book might be a better place to start. What I did like alot in the British book was the genetics explanation. Maybe that is because it is done in diagram/picture form, like a biology text book and is written simply. I flunked high school biology, so this was a good chapter for me. ~ Gretchen
