Guest guest
<<< Tomorrow is Jakob's birthday...>>> , are you telling me it's February 9 already tomorrow??!! I can't believe how FAST time has flown! Give that adorable little two-year-old a big hug tomorrow from us! <<< On top of all that, he woke up yesterday with a runny nose and cough. We are supposed to be at our play group this morning, but with the cold and the fact he ran a slight temperature last night, I thought it best we stay home. >>> Poor baby doll. I hope he feels better SOON. I hope your ped appt and pics go well! Rose went to her ped appt on the 24th, and was pretty good until the doctor touched her. She also had pics taken on the 1st at Sears. She was an 'angel'. I mean, she had wings and a star (no halo). The look on her face for the pic was such an innocent, and yes, angelic look! Her daddy says she's a good actress! The work that went into getting that pic! sigh. Oh well, she still my angel (with a naughty streak!). Guest guest
Joy, Tell me about it. When I met yesterday at UIHC, I could remember exactly what they were going through. It seems like we were there just yesterday and now look. If you looked at him, you'd never know he was sick. He's sitting in the floor now playing with his crayons. He's been non-stop action all morning. I know he'll scream at the pediatricians appointment. He always does. I was kinda amazed yesterday that he didn't make a peep when Dr. Weinstein looked at his feet. Then Dr. Ponseti came in and looked at his feet with no problem. A little while later, one of the doctors from NYU wanted to look at his feet. He asked Jakob if he could see his feet - Jakob hid his face and said uh-uh (basically no way!!!). It was cute. The pictures will be fun. He has this thing lately of wanting to point at the camera. When you ask him to smile, he squints his eyes and forces a huge cheesy grin. It should be a load of laughs. Guest guest
You child is two? And still getting club foot treatments? That surprises me, will you please tell me what Dr. P is doing and why it has taken your child so long? Sorry, that really sounded gritchy! LOL! I'm intersted because mine is nearly two, you know. Thank you. s. Re: A few thoughts > From: joybelle15@... (Joy Shipley) > > <<< Tomorrow is Jakob's birthday...>>> > > , are you telling me it's February 9 already tomorrow??!! Guest guest
The survey is located at http://www.onelist.com/surveys/nosurgery4clubfoot - it is just an informal survey of which doctor treats the children on the list. Sara, what you just replied to is the questionnaire. Guest guest
ee, He isn't really getting treatments anymore. Yesterday was honestly to get the doctor to change the shoes on his brace. Dr. Ponseti had called me a couple weeks ago and asked if I could bring Jakob in to show the doctors from NYU a child who had gone through the castings and is currently wearing the brace (Jakob doesn't usually see him). I figured that while I was going to UI anyway, I would get his regular ortho (Dr. Weinstein) to give us new shoes. There are still checkups after the castings and brace, but they slow down tremendously. Sorry for causing any unnecessary fear. ee wrote: > > > You child is two?
