Hi everyone,

Well last night at 1130pm they finally got the chest tube put in my honey.

She has never hurt this bad and I was in tears while holding her hand.

The dr gave her 2 doses of verset, 6 shots in her chest to numb her and 2

shots of morphine. And after all of that she still felt everything. It was

awful. The dr only cut her a half if a inch and tried to thread a small tube

in her 6 times, it wouldnt thread so he had to cut her another half inch and

put in a larger tube.

She is not one bit better and the morphine is not taking the pain away, but

the dr cannot up her does b/c it slows her breathing down to much. Her chest

is swollen and she can barely move she is hurting so bad.

She had to have another bronch b/c the dr could tell there was something

wrong so he had to look.

We got a really bad report, her right upper lobe (the absessed one, that has

maybe 10% air flow through it) has another part of it thhat has collased and

abssesed with the rest of it, it also has puss poring out of it.

Her left lingular(middle) lobe has puss pouring out of it now to. We asked

the dr how bad it had gotten since her last lobe which was in March, he said

it was 30% worse than 2 months ago, so basically it has gotten really really

worse.

This morning the dr came in and he said she is not better at all and where

the hole is in the right upper lobe is all rotted and he doesnt think it is

going to heal, the reason it collasped is b/c it has gotten so much worse in

2 months that the tissue was rotted and it couldnt hold up to the bronch (so

it wasnt his fault) so it blew the lung. So since the tissue is rotted and

absessed and if she isnt any better tommorow he is calling in a surgeon to

take out the right upper lobe immediatly, he said either the end of the week

or the beggining of next week. We will not have a choice and the risks are so

high that she could die but if the lung will not heal we will have to take it.

So lets pray she is a little better tommorw, she cant stand the thought of

having to go through this, and taking the risk that i will lose her.

We saw her xray and the lung was just hanging there and it was pushed up

against her ribs from the trapped air. It was bad...real bad
