Guest guest
HI Tara, I don't know that much about the Neocutis or if it's available in the USA (I think it was developed in Switzerland) but it does sound interesting, they apparently use cultured fetal skin cells: (wonder how they grow 'that'? ummmmm ) "Neocutis’ proprietary technology uses cultured skin cells to obtain an optimal, naturally balanced mixture of skin nutrients including cytokines, growth factors and antioxidants. This mixture is called PSP™, which stands for ‘Processed Skin Cell Proteins". The price I saw was $130 and they don't say how much was in the tube. For those not aware of it try this link where they're doing a study with it for V.Vestibulitis. http://www.neocutis.com/article.php?sid=69 These are the current results so far. Results:10 patients applied the treatment (Neocutis) for more than 4 months and were still on treatment (between 4 to 22 months). 5 patients were just included in the study and used the cream since 1 and 2 months. From these 10 patients, a twice-daily application for 4 - 5 weeks was significantly associated with an improvement of complaints, with less chronic pain and less itching. Steady-state was reached after 6 to 8 weeks of treatment with almost complete relief of symptoms and absence of vestibular redness. Most patients reported a major increased quality of their sexual life. The patients used the cream for long term without any reported adverse effects and without any change of the vaginal flora. Tara you said you had some? Did you order it in the USA or was it a sample? I'd be like you & give it a try, you never know, and sure wish you the best with it. Be sure to report back to us on how it goes. Thanks. Dee~
Guest guest
Hi Tara, Do you live in the US? I had a friend call about it from the US and I thought she said it was difficult to get. Please share how you got it. THANKS Sandi Discover Yahoo! Get on-the-go sports scores, stock quotes, news more. Check it out!
Guest guest
Tara, I heard about this cream but was wondering what the ingredients are??? I have so many allergies that I am limited on what I can use so am cautious about trying anything new, especially when it is so costly. The website does not mention the ingredients. Does the container? Any information you can provide would be great. Thanks,
Guest guest
HI Cuby () Me too wondering about the 'exact' ingredients in the Neocutis.. all I could find was what I posted. ''Neocutis’ proprietary technology uses cultured skin cells to obtain an optimal, naturally balanced mixture of skin nutrients including cytokines, growth factors and antioxidants. This mixture is called PSP™, which stands for ‘Processed Skin Cell Proteins". See that word 'proprietary', that means it's their formula & secret alone and they don't have to share it, I did read the skin cells are cultured fetal skin cells. I hope Tara's tube does have the list of ingredients. Dee~
Guest guest
I talked to Mark Lemco, their rep from San Francisco. He is going to email me the list of ingredients but he is on the road in Michigan at the present time so I may not get the list until later on today. I will post it as soon as it is received. Guest guest
Hi Guys, If you go check out the other Vulvodynia yahoo group " Vulvodynia- Support " , Dr. Glazer sent an email to that group telling people Neocutis did some preliminary research on this drug and it has helped the women it was tested on, but it sounds like it was a small sampling... anyway they are going to conduct enough research to get FDA approval of the product. Right now I think it being used to treat wounds and other problems, but they are doing clinical studies for its effects on Vestibulitis. It is listed as a " cosmaceutical " and not as a prescription drug. If you would like to get it Dr. Glazer gave his information with his email address that you can contact. You will get a q're also that you and your doctor should fill out and instructions on how to use it. It is 125 bucks for the tube and should last two months and then 15 for shipping... but it is worth if it it helps. Also I think he said the spring newsletter for NVA might have more info on this. This is the actual company's website: http://www.neocutis.com/categories.php?catid=
Guest guest
This sounds interesting... would you be able to post a link to the other site? I can't seem to find it. Thanks! $125 is hard to come by but after all I've spent... I'd give it a shot. Guest guest
Hi , If the hysterectomy or potential bladder surgery doesn't cure me perhaps we can split the cost. How many tubes of cream do we have that didn't work! We live close enough that we could split the cost and the tube. This sounds like the most promising thing I have seen in years!!! The website said it helps vvs but doesn't say anything about constant pain. But then again I believe that constant vestibular pain is just a more severe form of vvs, kind of like the sniffles vs. pneumonia. BTW, my labia is burning so much and I am soooo discouraged! Guest guest
Oh totally we could share the tube! Good idea! I went to the website to check it out but am so distracted and depressed I can't even think straight! My doc now says the MRI shows that I either broke or severely dislocated my tailbone (though I have no memory of such an injury) but that it probably is not causing the vulvar pain (just the tailbone pain, sciatica) and there's not much he can do. Next week I go for a lidocaine injection in the herniated disc area as a desperate shot in the dark.. Good Grief. Sorry you are burning so much Sandi. Ugh, this problem is beyond belief. I've been taking my ox absorb and my pain is a tad bit less than yesterday (then again the days after my period ends are always the best) so i'm gonna stick with the low ox diet and ox absorb for now and hope for the best. Hope you feel better soon Sandi. Hope we all do. Oh and the topical Neurontin is still something to try. > Hi , > > If the hysterectomy or potential bladder surgery doesn't cure me perhaps we can split the cost. Guest guest
Thanks Ora for that list as well for the Neocutis cream. I had to laugh at his closing line.. Do you think that was a freudian slip? LOL . <Please do hesitate to contact me if you need further information. Sincerely, Dreher> Dee

But I noticed that recently people are too lazy to finish their sentences. Example: I couldn't care less has become I could care less which means exactly the opposite. As a matter of fact though, maybe he was a bit pissed because I talked to another man from the company and then he passed the buck to Dreher. I am sure that Dreher had to look up the ingredients and then type them out. Maybe he didn't really want to and didn't really want to hear any more about it and inadvertently said so. Guest guest
LOL ..... maybe you're right Ora about that guy who wrote back, probably what he was thinking but wonder he did it consciously, *grin* maybe. Thanks so much for filling in those missing ingredients too.... I love how your mind works, *smile* I think it's the dectective in us. You're right that ingredient methylisothiazolinone doesn't sound like something I'd want either, but I did see it listed as last so hopefully there's very little of it in the Neocutis creme. It does make you wonder why it's there since it is such an irritant. I see it's a preservative so I guess that's the reason. *sigh* Speaking of preservatives, I swear I've never seen Milk or Bread last SO long here at home.. it's getting a bit scary to me. ;( About words misused? I know even I myself sometimes leave off pronouns or words... always in too much of a hurry. But that 'could care less' or using 'your for you're' gets to me too, and so does reading the newspaper and obvious spelling errors, I want to write to the editor but don't have the time. LOL I'm not perfect by any means (not at all, Lordy no!) esp. with email and goof up myself typing so fast and then cringe when I see it back, LOL, but *Jeesh* you'd think a newspaper, magazine or something professional would be more careful. Oh well, not griping just that when I see it, it stands out so obviously. I must be getting old. ha ha ha.... what am I laughing about? I am.
