Wendi, I would like more info on this - if you will email me I would

appreciate it. Also, my pediatrician recommends treating the baby with

gentian violet if she gets thrush - have you heard of that for a treatment?

She says to put it in her mouth four times a day but this stuff sounds like

a topical to me!

Felicia,

I will gather info and send it to the list. Yours is not the first request. It

will probably take me until tomorrow, but I will get it for you.

Felicia~ & I had it for 4 weeks. I wasn't treated the 1st 2 weeks &

got some for me It's very messy & will stain skin & clothing. I only

used it on once a day, usually before bed. I put purelan on his

lips 1st so they would'nt stain, then took a q-tip & painted the inside

of his mouth & my nipples. 4 times a day sounds harsh to me as it can

cause ulcers & sores. Once a day was good for us & we did it for 3 days.

Let me tell you though that it is messy & will stain. Don't wear

anything you like while using it. I wore one of Chet's old t-shirts to

bed. Good luck

Felicia,

My pediatrician told me that gentian violet was an old old remedy that worked

very well on thrush.. its messy and stains if it gets on clothing, but you

can purchase it over the counter, and it works fast..

Just a note, they are using it to heal wounds in Kosovo, I guess it has many

uses..

I just had an idea. I use colloidal silver for a lot of different

antibiotic uses and it would work for thrush as well. It is very gentle can

be put on nipples and in baby's mouth. It kills all different strains of

germs and has no side effects. It is available from health food stores, but

is better if made from a generator. They can be made or purchased. The

cheapest I have seen them available for purchase is $49. I can get a

schematic to make a generator for much less. I have articles and websites if

anyone is interested just email me personally and I will send it to you.

Wendi-

Are you saying you can buy colloidal silver for $49 or that is making it

yourself? I have once again been diagnosed with thrush (damnit) and would

love to hear more.

Thanks!

,

The generator is $49 which will make colloidal silver for at least a year. I

just saw a small 8 oz bottle in the health food store for $38 so the generator

is much more economical.
