Guest guest
TK, HBOT treatment at 60ft for 90 minutes has been fantastic but is expensive and I can only afford a little of it. What is this? And thanks for the little improvement recognized and passed on to us. Were you fearful to start chelation? My amalgams came out 7 months ago and I can't decide if I should start with just ALA alone? Or DMSA and Ala? This new specialist has me starting to see a gal who tests for parasites etc. Evidently she trained extensively under Andy's x-wife. Ellen Cutler. I really respect anything Andy has had something to do with. BTW it really pisses me off that people give Andy such a hard time in the Autism-mercury chatroom. How can ANYONE put down someone so comitted to helping others in this perilous game back to health from mercury poisoning. Alison
Guest guest
You know, I don't think it follows logically, that if someone has a lot of knowledge and skills, that someone who used to be married to him at some time will have knowledge and skills too. The opposite doesn't follow either. I don't think there is a basis to make decisions from. Dagmar. Evidently she trained extensively under Andy's x-wife. Ellen Cutler. Guest guest
Dagmar, Of course you're correct. But I've heard many good things about Ellen's nutritional expertise, as well. In this confusing chelation drama re: the many contradictory therapies... at what point do you say which person is right? I think Andy having the chemistry background seems reliable. Although this new specialist I see believes things differently than Andy. He is an alternative Dr. that can at least provide the scripts I need. And IV's when well enough. One concern is, one camp says fix the gut bugs first, Andy says just chelate. As the merc is effecting the bugs. What do you all think? Trial DMSA/ALA? And God it is excrutiatingling painful to see how my 5 year old has this crap in him. He goes for a 3 hour surgery next week for removal of fatty tumor behind eardrum. Small eustashian tubes. Just one of a couuple birth deffects probably got from me and my Mom (amalgams). Thank God I maintain hope. I know the anesthesia and following antibiotics will interfere with excretion of toxins, but what can I do but pray. Surgery is mandate. Was anyone else hesitant to chelate? Self or child? I hate myself for not starting. Alison
Guest guest
I have started to chelate myself in July with ALA only. I started even lower than Andy recomends with 12mg per dose. I felt uncomfortably odd the first day. Then I started to feel sometimes better sometimes worse, but not worse than before, except I hardly could sleep at all. By now this has settled again and is if at all better than before. I also have had little times in the last few days, when I thought my ability to think was getting better (energy and mood have been better on and off). I hope you don't have amalgams left. All the best, Dagmar. Re: Re: To TK Dagmar, Of course you're correct. But I've heard many good things about Ellen's nutritional expertise, as well. Guest guest
I didn't know they were X's but my new specialist said so. And I guess I did know Andy has a girfriend (wife?) with I think a son he helped chelate, I think her son (girlfriend's not Ellen). Regarding Ellen: when speaking to Andy on the phone or in his no amalgam book he mentions Ellen/nutritionist. I believe I am correct, but certainly would hate to be wrong. I'm sure he has mentioned her in some emails too. I will ask Ann Maynan the new gal I see soon for parasites, etc. she evidently trained under Ellen Cutler. I will confirm whether it's Andy's X or not and will let you know end of this month when I see her. I hope I didn't just fabricate this in my mercury dripping brain. LOL. Alison Whoa, wait a sec. Ellen Cutler (of BioSet fame and author of the allergy books) is Andy's ex-wife? I've never heard this before. Are you quite sure?
Guest guest
Dagmar, Any reason why you choose to NOT use DMSA inconjunction? Fear of the exacerbated parasites, from the DMSA? Would think the DMSA helped with side effects. Thanks for sharing. Were you scared as well? Is that why you started so low a mg? Alison. Have you chelated kids? Think I recognize your name from Moria or maybe a site you have? I have started to chelate myself in July with ALA only. I started even lower than Andy recomends with 12mg per dose. Guest guest
TK, RE: Andy and diplomacy in rooms. What I think EVERYONE may forget at times is if we are mercury poisoned we are ALL going to over react at times and misspeak. God knows I have a long list of emotional wreckage from the last 30 some odd years. That in itself REALLY pisses me off. Hard to forgive something my body has done involuntarily. I think Andy's book really wisely addresses how insane it can make some of us, and chelating as well. Probably why I'm fearful to start. Can imagine provoking more crazy behavior for people to critisize (sp?). Alison. Peace.
