I've not been diagnosed as having rosacea, but from all the descriptions it seems to fit. I'm trying to control it uing natural remedies. So far washing with camomille tea and applying evening primrose oil seems to help, but I'm still getting some very severe flare-ups. I was prescribed hydrocortione which made it a lot worse. It tooks weeks for my skin to recover. Someone also suggested yoghurt as an exfoliant. Any idea if this is a good thing? I certainly wouldn't use any commercially available exfoliant. After reading all the archives I will try saflower oil. I'm in the UK, so I don't know if metrogel and the like are available. As far as H.Pyolric is concerned, I was tested (negative) and treated anyway a few years ago for stomach problems but I still have the problem. Are there any other natural remedies that people have had any succes with. I have burning, bumpy cheeks and chin. It comes and goes without apparent rhyme or reason, though I know I don't drink enough water. I'm also very stressed, so I guess that is a factor. Can anyone recommend a good coverup cream? I use Lancome which is fairly good and doesnt seem to make it worse, but doesn't always cover, particularly the spots. It's good to find a group of fellow sufferers any advice welcome. Cheers, Isabelle ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hi Isabelle, Have you tried using green tinted creams/lotions to tone down redness, for example, Boots No 7, sell a " rosytone corrector " . I apply this under foundation. What I've also found to be cry successful is using Lancaster's Light Diffusing Foundation , with matching concealer (comes in lots of different shades) over my cheeks after applying the foundation base. Aveda also make a lovely range of cosmetics, which are quite expensive, unfortunately, but I use their " base plus (+) " everyday, as it contains lots of jojoba. Aveda also have a policy of not producing foundations that are pink-based, as these tend not to blend well with most skin-tones, but more importantly for rosaceans, highlight our ruddy complexions!!
