Guest guest
Welcome Amber! I am the first time mom of a son too. Congratulations on successfully bf'ing your son despite the opposition. I've been fortunate to have a lot of support so I can only imagine how difficult that was for you. Kudos for sticking with it! mom to Bart 1/22/99 --- Wychambra1@... wrote: > From: Wychambra1@... > > Greetings!! > > Here's a quick introduction... well, maybe quick, > sometimes I ramble... > > My name's Amber and I am a new first-time mum. Guest guest
Welcome Amber! I'm a new mom too. My baby is Corey, he's almost 4 weeks old. Good for you for being strong in the face of all that pressure/negative influence. That's not easy to do. Sounds like Hunter is a healthy and lucky boy! and Corey 4/27/
Guest guest
Amber, Welcome to the list and congratulations on a job well done. Wendi Kaija 7yo Zaid 19 months Introducing... ME! From: Wychambra1@... Greetings!! Here's a quick introduction... well, maybe quick, sometimes I ramble... My name's Amber and I am a new first-time mum. My son's name is Hunter and was born March 20th this year. Let's see... I gave birth at a birthing center and he was 9 pounds at birth. He was almost 12 pounds at his 4 week checkup. Today he is 9 weeks and we go to the doctor for another check up. I bet he weighs at least 14 pounds. He's a BIG boy!!! Anywho - I am breastfeeding and am VERY VERY proud of myself to have stuck with it through the first month because I've had tons of oppostition!! You see, hubby and I live with his parents in a large house (only for another month, though, thank goodness). His parents are bottle-worshipping people. Also, my sister-in-laws have children and didn't successfullly breastfeed for more than a week. In fact, one sister-in-law has a baby that is just a month and a half older than my son so she LOVES to tell me what I am doing wrong. Well, they all thought I would fail at breastfeeding, too. They told me I was starving my baby, that he's hungry, that my milk is probably sour, etc. etc. It REALLY bothered me until that first month check up when I found out HUnter gained almost 3 pounds. Now the family can say whatever they want!! HAHA! But I love bfing and wouldn't have it any other way. I am happy happy to meet all of you! ~~ Amber ~~ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ With more than 17 million e-mails exchanged daily... http://www.onelist.com ...ONElist is THE place where the world talks! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Breastfeeding is Best!! http://www.maclee.com/breastfeeding If you like this list also check out http://www.onelist.com/subscribe.cgi/weanedbuddies
