Guest guest
Stacie, Thank you. I like to think of myself as a wonderful mommy too. I am very thankful that my MIL watches Davian in the morning and the my mom watches him in the afternoons. At least he's still with his grandma's who love him. One of these days I am REALLY going to just let him do everything, and see what he thinks then! But , I would say No nothing is going to make it so you can be there 100% of the time except more money, and sometimes it just doesn't work that way......Unfortunately! But your son will know you love him and you work so you can give him all the things he needs. That doesn't mean you love him any less! And I am sure he knows this now, and will in the furture!! But I have to say I really admire mother's who work and then still come home and take care of the house , it takes One HECK of a woman to be able to do that! I have a hard time making sure the launrdy gets done, I could just see me trying to make a deadline with work as well......LOL!! Keep your chin up, I am sure you are a WONDERFUL Mommy!! Guest guest
>Ok I looked up the web page that was posted and I never knew >breastfeeding could be painful ?? Kellie: Just my 2 cents: I nursed my daughter and it was NEVER painful, so everyone is not the same. I have friends who did have some pain during the first three days, but it is not an AWFUL kind of pain by any means, just a little uncomfortable. It goes away quickly. It is WELL worth it -- there is nothing quite like it... Liz D. Guest guest
Kellie, The pain doesn't last very long. Some woman don't have any pain at all but if you do just tell yourself that it will be over soon (the pain I mean) And if any problems come up just tell yourself that you CAN get through it. I had a hard time at first and alot of people would have given up but I was determined and knew the benifits of breastfeeding so I stuck with it and every time I feed my baby now I am so glad I did stick with it. You have allready got a good star to join this group. Congrats on your pregnancy!! and congrats on your decision to breastfeed. I am (26) married two yearsto (26) first time mom to Skyler who is 10 weeks old. Welcome to the list. Help! Sometimes all a novice breastfeeding mother needs is a patient, experienced friend to sit with her for several feedings to help her position the baby, get through the initial pain of latching on, and simply let her know that it can be done. But often a woman needs more guidance, and plenty of experts can help, from the nurses at the hospital to lactation consultants. Ok I looked up the web page that was posted and I never knew breastfeeding could be painful ?? I'm in apanic now but I have 6 months to find out why it hurts and how to stop it all I need is words of wisdom! Kellie Nobody is completely useless, you can always serve as a bad example. Guest guest
Stacie, Yes, she is so right on target! Bfdg does not hurt at all. There are other contributing factors that can cause the latch on process to be painful. In lighter skinned people it is said that it can take a bit longer for the nipple to " toughen up. " The feeling if the latch is correct is nothing more than a slight pulling...NO pain involved.
