OK here I go again. Hopefully this will post. Good Morning everyone! This weekend I ran 3 miles on saturday and 3 1/2 miles on Sunday, plus cut off 1 minute per mile on my sunday run. I haven't done that since my surguries! The next great thing is I tried on a pair of jeans on Saturday which two months ago I could not get around my hips, and the fit!! The bad news, which isn't really that bad is that I maintained this week and did not lose . With all that running who would have thought? Anyway, not so bad at all!

I am also commited to start back at ww and go to the meetings starting on thursday, and my daughter is going to come with me.

.. is the running a new thing for you.. sorry.. i think i missed your entrance to the group.. but rememberin you sayin somthing about bein a lurker so welcome to posting land! now back to the running... ive been exercising for 3 weeks now and have not seen much of a loss at all and i have been repeatedly told that its because i have extra water weight in my muscles from the exercising! just wanted to share.. because i know how frustrating it gets when you are exercising and not seein the weight drop off!

Hi Jenn, I use to belong to a exercise group 2 1/2 years ago and we did quite a bit of running. Had three back surgeries and am trying to get started again. I've been running for one week at the gym. And your right it is frustrating. But I feel great that I have started again.

- I work out with Jenn, and like her, I did not lose last week, but actually gained. It was really frustrating being that I was very committed to working out last week. You would think with all that sweat that you would be losing and not gaining/maintaining, but I think our bodys have to cycle. I also know that Jenn is right about your muscles hanging on to water until they adapt. Good Luck! TeriLyn.

Thanks Terilyn, It's nice to know I'm not alone out there! I will keep exercising and drinking my water. I know I feel much better after a work out.

What type of exercise do the two of you do? and how many times a week and the length of time?
