I too have suffered for years with headaches that were " one-sided " (always on the left) as well as the other type which were misdiagnosed as migraine headaches. I also agree they (the one-sided variety) can be Chiari headaches as I ended up having so much trouble on the left side of my head and face, that I had to have Botox injections from a left twitching eye that wouldn't stop (after two months!). I get both kinds of headaches -- " one-sided " and also the more typical one that starts at the back of my head at the base of my skull.
