Guest guest
I was going to use her and i heard negative things about her. First, she is not board certified as a developmental specialist. Second, she charges alof of money and she doesn't evaluated your child as a psychologist would do with the typical educational or psychological evaluations. You would be wasting your money. She also refers you to OT, speech, and behavior therapists which is what you can do on your own. Dr. Ramos is wonderful! I Have used her with both of my ASD Children. Guest guest
Hello, We have been seeing Dr. Judith Aronson-Ramos regularly every three months for over two years for our son with autism. We have had a very positive experience. I believe she has helped our son as his team leader from monitoring his medications and alternative supplements, leading us to an appropriate and fabulous school in our area (Atlantis Academy), keeping us up to date on recent studies and what other doctors are having success with, and recommending therapists and social groups that her clients have found successful. We did Cogmed through her office, too. If I have a question she always returns a call or email the same day. We do pay her with a credit card, but then we submit it to BCBS and she mails us the reimbursement check every time. Her website lists everything that she does and we believe she has helped our child and recommend her as a team leader. http://www.draronsonramos.com/practice.html ~April Dr. Judith Arnson - Ramos? Guest guest
and all, Dr. Arnson-Ramos is a pediatrician, and a good one, judging by all the positive reviews I have heard. As a matter of fact, I have NEVER heard anything negative about her. She is not a psychologist, she is not a developmental specialist, she is a pediatrician very familiar with autism. She gets it. Personally, I think she is an excellent starting point for a family with a young child recently diagnosed with ASD. > > > Dr. Ramos is wonderful! I Have used her with both of my ASD Children. Guest guest
Dr. Ramos has helped my son tremendously!!! Last year we had taken my son off meds and he completely fell apart on me. Loss of language, aggressive behaviors, and major regression. We thought the easy fix would be to put him back on the medication. Did not work!!!! We then tried different medications and could not find one that worked for my son. Although I LOVE my Neurologist, I felt that I needed a second opinion. Dr. Ramos took the time to go over the history of my son. She met with me and my husband first, spent a great deal off time with us to understand us and our frustration and then met my son. She has collaborated with our Neurologist and has helped me bridge all our therapists, school , and doctors. Today, with the help of her guidance and knowledge, my son is getting back on track. I still see my Neurologist as well as Dr. Ramos and I will continue to do so. She is very up front and honest about her payment methods. There are several Doctors out there that practice the same way. There are also Doctors that just bill your Insurance. My advice to any parent is to do your homework and understand the way the practice works and what they can offer your family. Doctors specialize in different areas. After learning about what Dr Ramos does, I felt I needed her professional opinion. Dr Ramos has helped my family. She is now part of my son's team!!!!
