Guest guest
I have found that for myself an electric razor is bad news. My skin becomes irritated and quite red. As well, shaving lotion doesn't agree with my skin either. I have tried many of the products out on the market (including a fragrance free natural product from a health food store) and they all irritated my condition to no end. Nevertheless, I don't have a problem with shaving. What I find works is simply to soak my beard with nothing other than water, either while in the shower or with a very wet wash cloth, for several minutes until it is very soft. I then use either the standard Gillete Sensor or the Mach 3 blade to shave with. The result is a close shave that never irritates my skin. I think the key to the success of this little routine is the soaking of the beard. I have even used the cheaper blades every now and again and they have worked fine too, provided that I had thoroughly soaked my beard. J.R.
