Guest guest
Hi, I am hoping to get some imput as to my daughter's home program. Her therapists are working receptive which is making great strides. Sometimes they ask her to imitate a skill, do puzzles, match, follow a direction. Sometimes they simply say " do this " instead of specifically saying what to do. I am wondering if it would be a better approach with an apraxic child with auditory processing issues, to always use clear, specific language that exactly states the activity. This way she is learning what the words are for the activity as well. I could be wrong though. Any ideas would be very welcomed. Thanks, Carolyn
