I worked for EI for about 4 years in Alabama. I may be mistaken but I think

that the federal regs. state that you have a choice in who your therapists

are. There are usually other EI programs you can change to or other EI

vendors that you can switch to. I even went to the state level because my

husband and I work outside of our EI district and Cate goes to daycare

out of district. The EI program contracted out with a therapist in the

district where Cate goes to daycare so that she would be in her natural

environment. The contact I have at the state level also asked that if the EI

program was not willing to do this that I contact her so that they could get

something in place to fix the problem. Also if your child is under 3 and in

EI, the fed. regs. state that you can be your own EI coordinator.
